Did you try benadryl cream or hydrocortisone cream?

Dang, I can't see them either.

Hi everyone, I'm right with those of you who have no restriction. I can eat anything and don't even chew it to mush. Had 1 fill and another scheduled for the 15th of Jan. I will be sooooo bummed if that one doesn't help. I haven't lost anything for about 3 weeks and I'm always hungry. I've been having a slimfast for breakfast every day since surgery and it's always kept me filled. Today it didn't do a thing for me. I want toast and peanut butter like I always had before. On the positive side, I haven't gained.:hungry:

I discovered a tastey way to get your fiber and I promice constipation will be a thing of the past. Kelloggs has a cracker called "All Bran Crackers" Multi grain and garlic/herb and baked. Very good! I ate too many yesterday! :cry

Peaches, put ice on your back if you haven't already.

My Dr said never again any NSAIDS which are non-steroid anti-inflamatory drugs. That would include aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxin and most prescription arthritis meds. I had the idea that if I lost some weight my pain would go away. I guess I haven't lost enough but I didn't realize how much my NSAIDS were helping my pain. I'm miserable right now. Tylenol is not helping enough and I don't want to take any narcotics. Not sure what to do (and I am a nurse):scared:

I like unflavored unjury because you can hide it in just about anything. -
A yoplait light yogurt does the trick for me. I can't sleep if I feel hungry.

I.'m usually laughing all the way to OR too. I've had a lot of surgeries. I actually look forward to the happy juice they stick in the IV! I ask for gas from the dentist too. I enjoy the whole experience. It's a good thing I don't drink. Now the pain and pain meds after surgery is a whole different story. I don't like that feeling of being groggy and out of it.

But isn't the whole point of the pouch to keep the food there longer?

Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!
sfeiner replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I would like to know how to resize a pic, how to change my name from sfeiner to munch2much (if you can do it for me, that would be great) and how to stop the email notifications of new postings. Thanks much -
Whats the biggest weight loss myth you have ever heard?
sfeiner replied to She Smiles's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, here's one no one has mentioned. My sister had her teeth wired shut for months. Dentists were doing it if Dr's recomended it. I think it was about 30 years ago. She lost a lot of weight for awhile. I think she was drinking optifast or something through a stwaw. Then she discovered that there were other things she could get through that straw. Like melted ice cream and shakes etc. She has dieted her way to about 400 pounds now. -
So Depressed!! Family trying to prevent my banding!

I think you need to give way more responsability to your 14 yr old. You didn't say when you were having surgery but I'm assuming you have some time to get him prepared. I know a lot of 12 yr olds that babysit. I understand the fighting issue. If y ou make him the baby sitter and she knows he's in charge, he might make more of an effort to act like the "adult". Can you start leaving them alone for longer times now? Pay him for babysitting? You will no doubt be home the same day, but you could start practicing now, what they should do if you aren't. Who is driving you back and forth from the hosp? I wish I lived near you! Keep us up to date on your plans. -
A place for bandsters in their 60's

These are before. Wish I had afters! -
I have a TOMTOM and love it. The Grandchildren are fasinated watching us move down the "roads" and we take it along even if we know where we are going, just so they are entertained. They have a DVD player and game boys but get tired of those and want to watch "Tommy".

Thanks Julie. I've been wondering that too.

You are probably retaining water. Are you pre menstraul? Are you drinking 64 oz a day? Are you getting at least 60 gm of protien? Be sure you aren't eating too few cal. You are not going to fail! The band works! Hang in there!

I'm ashamed to say I've only lost 15. I don't have any restriction but that's no excuse because I've been eating way to much crap. I can't seem to keep my greedy little paws out of the candy.:cry

Post-Op Exercise/Mobility Regimen
sfeiner replied to Mac the Knife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told not to drive if I was taking narcotic pain meds. I drove home on the 3rd day after surg (I had been staying in a hotel for a couple days following surgery) He said there was no limit to walking, 10# weight lifting limit. -

Hi everyone, How did you survive the holidays? Yesterday I thought I had lost a pound in spite of all the unhealthy snacking I've been doing. Today the pound was back and it had doubled! I should go back to my pre-op diet and clear out the carbs. Next fill is the 15th. -
TENaciousTENS "roll call" as promised!
sfeiner replied to OregonHolly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Holly, This is the first time I saw this thread. I was banded 10/28/07. Had 1 fill and have no restriction. The Holidays have been so hard. I think I should go back on the pre surg diet for awhile to clean out the carbs and stop the carb cravings. -
