Am I the only person from Wi? It sure is a gloomy day here today. I can see why every one would want to be somewhere else! I can actually hear thunder! Sharon

I love Walmart! But this is a nice town. Probably has close to 100% employment the store is very clean, the employees are neat and polite and helpful etc. We can get everything in one store when we are in a hurry. They are nice when you return things. There is another nice Walmart about 15 miles away. But I have been a few trashy ones when on trips so I know what you mean.

Do you burp more now that you are banded? (non-productive, just air)
sfeiner replied to dustout's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm doing the hicaburping a lot since my last fill. I was so hungry when I got home today and forgot about my band and had a bite of chicken my grandson left on his plate and it got stuck. So I was stuck and hungry for about an hour. Finally had a slimfast and a yogurt and for about 1 hr I was comfortable. Now hungry again. I guess everything went through alright. -
You could just blame any pain you have on the gas. Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones that don't have any gas pain. I didn't when I had my gall bladder out. It wasn't bad with the band surgery.

I had to strip in the waiting area and walk naked to th OR and climb up on the table butt naked while everyone laughed.:blushing:h just kiddding.

Could you cut your fabric into triangles? Letting the 3 corners hang over? I think I would experiment with newspaper first to get the right size.

I hope every in the south is OK. Their is sure a lot of devastation from the tornadoes. I hope it hasn't affected any of my freinds here. We are having a major snow storm here in Wi. It just doesn't quit this year. At least we are safe. Hope all of you are too.

Have to quit smoking before surgery???
sfeiner replied to NikkiD's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is one of the first things they told us at our seminar. I believe it was six months of no smoking before they would schedule surgery. -
You have done so well! Makes me feel ashamed. I just got my 3rd fill and maybe a little restriction.
-
Oh, lucky you! I would love to do that. How formal do you suspose it is? It would be a shame to have to buy something you will just grow out of.
-
Hi Sally, Yes yes keep posting. Did you go to a seminar yet? Sounds like Maine weather is as bad as Wi. We will all have to visit Phyllser in her RV in Florida!
-
Oh, we are expecting another storm tonight and tomorrow....8-12'" of snow. It just doesn't quit. I did get my 3rd fill today. I got in early because so many people cancelled due to weather. I really don't notice anything yet. Had a can of slimfast just to make sure it would go down. Then a bowl of special K because I had a craving. Still hungry! I called work and told them I'm not coming tomorrow due to weather. That's the first time I did that but darn, I'm getting old. Old ladies shouldn't be out driving in snow storms! I don't know where everyone is the past couple days. Maybe they will turn up when the weather improves. Sounds like it's bad all over. Later....

Are you dissappointed in your weight loss since banding?
sfeiner replied to wishin4's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Now I don't know which one of our threads to post on. I did get my third fill today. I have 2.75cc now in my 4cc band. I don't know if I have restriction yet or not. I came home and chugged down a slim fast. I was starved. At least I beat the snow storm that's susposed to be coming tonight. -
Hi Angie, Congratulations on getting a date! I understand the excitment. I haven't had any experience with travel after surgery, but a lot of people fly to Mexico to have it so I assume they can fly home ok afterwards. My incisions are all well above the waist so the seat belt should be ok.

That is not a rumor. It payed for mine and my AARP supp ins paid the rest. You do have to go to a hosp and DR with "Center of Excellence" credentials.
-
Great news Paula. I hope I can do as well.
-
You are very welcome. That's what we are here for.
-
Hope all is going well for you today. Get plenty of rest. Baby yourself for a few days. Keep us updated.

Hey, there you go!!!!

You are all such a wonderful bunch of people. I love lurking on this site.I SEE SOME OF YOU on other threads and that's good too. Phyllster, we sure have a lot in common. Wombat, you're a cutie. That is so sad aBOUT them having to eat dirt in Hati. Our church sends people there to work every year and I have met some of them when they came here. They are such good natured people in spite of all the horror in thier lives.

Some people add unflavored protien to it. I haven't tried that but I hear it's good.

I'm an RN, worked in psych for 16 years and I really don't think you are talking about true passive aggressive people. It sounds like you are talking about two faced people........those who say one thing to your face and something else behind your back. The passive aggressive person will hurt people by doing nothing. For instance, If you ask your husband if he would like to accept an invition somewhere and he says "I don't know yet" and just keeps you on edge all the time because he won't committ.......That's passive aggressive. He's being mean by doing nothing..... If your teenage daughter is sexually active and doesn't use birth control and knows you would be hurt if she got preg, that's passive aggresive. If your neighbor lets his lawn go to hell and spoils the look of the neighbor hood, that's passive agressive. I guess it kinda bugs me to see people throw around psych terms loosely. If I stood by and let someone use terms inappropiately and knew knew they sounded foolish, I would be passive aggressive in a mild way.....but if it's something that doesn't really matter as in this thread and I correct you, I could just be anal   Hope no one is offended.

How far are they from getting medicare? That and a supplemental plan like AARP will pay for them if they are 65. I personally wouldn'twant my kids topay for me. I would be a nervous wreck thinking I might fail.

Oh, come on. Be brave!
