Thanks for your response. I have had a scope done. They found nothing wrong, and the band looked good. I think I am going to talk to dr. aboout having the procedure where they put the little chip on your esophagius and it monitors how much acid is actually coming up to the throat area. I just dont know what to do to get the bitter taste in mouth to go away. I watch what I eat, get my exersice in, and I drink plenty of water. It is very frustrating, as I do not want to lose the band, and I really do not want to have the "Nissan" procedure done.

Does anyone know if you can have the "linx" procedure done if you have had lap band? I have chronic acid reflux, which is causing a very bitter taste or metalic taste in mouth. I am on 3 different medicines for acid reflux and nothing seems to be helping. My lap band is empty. I dont want to lose the band because of the acid reflux thanks for any help any of you may have.
