2 yr mark in 2 weeks!
amandall27 replied to amandall27's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Absolutely. It is very common especially after the first year. The weight falls off without any problem and then you hit the stair steps where you fluctuate. My Dr. always says it's ok as long as you don't see the scale go up and up and up lol. But usually reevaluating what I am doing helps. I will bust out the food journal and whatnot. -

Just posting to see where everyone is at! ...I'm at the dreaded plateau but have lost a total of 150 pounds. I think it's time to start saving my pennies for skin removal surgery. Sent from my SM-S902L using the BariatricPal App -

I have never posted pictures on here because I never wanted to put out what I used to look like as I am no longer that person. I am a new person but have come to terms that I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't lived life as a larger person. I also know that when I started out looking at other people's pictures were such at motivation for me so I am hoping these will help someone in return. The picture of me at my largest was after I had my son. I had lost a significant amount of weight before my day of surgery which is the pic of me looking grumpy and in pain. They always prepare you for this plateau but it is still frustrating. I can't complain too much though because I am very happy and wouldn't change anything. Sent from my SM-S902L using the BariatricPal App

My 2 yr is quickly approaching and I must say this surgery has changed my life! I've never been so happy in all my life. I am at a plateau now and would like to lose 20 more pounds but don't know if that is possible. At this point I feel having excess skin removed is the only way to accomplish that. I need support or advice from someone in the same boat on what to do about the final pounds! I am starting to think it won't be possible as I've already lost almost 150 pounds. Definitely talk to them. I most certainly had them before surgery as I'm only 5 weeks post op. Dr says surgery for the sleeve exacerbated my gall issues. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2

Had mine out yesterday. They had a very difficult time with it and I am in extreme pain. It is so much worse for me than the sleeve was. And I have a total of 10 healing incisions now. Hope yours is a much easier procedure. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2

I never though in a million years I wouldn't want water as much. I'm sure it will get better. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2

That is another thing...my drinks have to be ice cold...I put ice in my Protein drinks as well! Lol. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2

Having mine out tomorrow lol. I'm 1 month post op. My Dr doesn't check before for gallstones. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2

Before surgery I was a huge Water drinker. I never drank soda...juice was a rarity as well. I occasionally drank crystal light type drinks...but again was not a huge fan of flavored drinks. Milk is always a favorite as well. Now one month post op and I realized I'm having a VERY hard time drinking because I'm bored with water ...the past week I have become HOOKED on Gatorade /powerade. Low cal and calorie free of course. Nothing seems to quench my thirst but this. I have no problems getting fluids this way and have started stocking it. Does anyone share this same issue? CAN'T HILD DOWN THE FOODS THE BOOK TELLS ME TO EAT!
amandall27 replied to breehuskins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All foods I eat are appropriate ...I don't eat anything I'm not supposed to. I just moved from pureed yesterday. Just because it's on the list doesn't mean it wont bother you. I love eggs but since surgery I have only been able to eat them 1 time without issues. It's a sucky feeling :/ Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2 -
Can't get enough protein. Problems with protein powder.
amandall27 replied to gahannagal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My coworker sent this to me today! She had the sleeve as well. I wish I new about this before. I have a hard time getting enough as well and Protein shakes were drab long before surgery lol. GOOD luck! Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2
