I had my first fill on Monday and ever since I have had a tight feeling in my chest. I'll also get a sharp pain in my back. Not so much in my shoulder like when I had my surgery. Is it just sore from the fill? food is going down ok. I need to practice eating slower. After so many years of eating fast sometimes I forget.

I've read several threads on constipation and see it is a problem for most if not all. I've heard many suggestions but want to know which remedy is best and does not cause terrible gas pains when you finally have a BM?

I have heard it's from the pain meds which is why I see so many threads about the constipation post op. I know once I'm completely off the meds it will get better. There are so many suggestions and I just wanted to know which one will work AND not feel like your insides are being ripped out. I am just day 3 in my mushy foods so I am limited to what I can eat so a natural solution is not going to work for me at this stage. I was told to stay away from juices and calorie drinks. I just needed advice on a short term bases.

The doctor used glue to seal the incisions on my belly. I'm post op 8 days and the glue is peeling. How long did it take for the glue to come off for others who also had glue? Did you have bad scars?

Just don't think I could ever pull off the bikini look. It's so nice to have a support site that you can ask questions and talk about being banded and all that comes with it from people that are in the same boat.

I'm post op day 8 also and I'm still taking the pain meds although not as frequently. I thought I would be off them by now. Sounds like it may be normal. I think there was an expectation that the healing process would be much faster. Hang in there!!

I had my surgery last Friday. I felt ok on Saturday then Sunday it hit me hard. I don't have the constant pain in my shoulder but every once in a while I'll get that shooting pain. My stomach is so bruised from the surgery and I feel so bloated but I know it's just temporary. I've been on the liquid diet since my surgery and can start eating mushy food Friday. I'm excited and scared at the same time.

Just had my lap band surgery yesterday. I'm so excited! I lost 9 pounds on my Pre-op low carb diet so I'm already on my way in my journey to a new me. I have about 65 more pounds to lose. My shoulder hurts pretty bad but I know this is just temporary. I'm keeping a "hand warmer" on it and it seems to help keeping heat on it and I don't have to be plugged in with a heating pad. I've been reading the threads and it is so encouraging. It's great to read the comments of others that are on the same journey to a healthier life!
