Im 319 and wanted to be 318 but im happy because I have lost 59 lbs some on my own 2 months before surgery but 27 pre op & post op. Excited for 2014!! -

Yes I lost 3 between surgery and my first fill but I have lost 8 or so now. My surgeon wants about 2 lbs a week. So I lost a total of 58 lbs, 26 from pre op till now. -
What do you eat?
Dakotasmom06 replied to Dakotasmom06's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yea after surgery thats all my surgeon wanted me to do is heal, he said he didn't care if I gained a few pounds which I didn't but I only lost 3 before my first fill. But I have lost a total of 55 pounds. 32 on my own like 2 1/2 months before I knew I was gonna have surgery, 18 on my pre op diet and 5 since surgery. I also only ate a little but after about 2 weeks post optimarket I started getting hungry more often. Even now I only eat a little but im hungry in about 3 hrs. Good luck! When was your surgery? -

What do you eat?
Dakotasmom06 replied to Dakotasmom06's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So basically its not a diet but the trick is to eat proteins first then fruit and veggies then carbs last? I guess because I can basically eat what I was eating before I feel like it isn't going to work, this is more difficult mentally than what I thought. -

I was banded November 22nd, I didn't start having the real hungry feeling until about 2 weeks after. I was just filled this past thursday but if your surgeon is like mine he will start off slow. I had 2.5ccs put in and im still hungry, not as bad as I was but I text my surgeon tonight and he said he will make it perfect for me (in time) I go for another fill which will put me at 4cc's I started at 378 when I went for my first appt with my surgeon thats what I weighed and day before surgery I was 328. Now im 325 I lost 32 lbs on my own then 18 on thw slim fast and 3 since surgery. The fill really isn't bad at all, I can't stand the sight of needles but wasnt bad at all, Quick and easy. Good luck with everything. -

Is This The "full" Feeling I'm Suppose To Get?
Dakotasmom06 replied to newlife082318's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded November 22nd and I know that feeling she is referring to, is it over eating or is that normal? Sometimes its down right painful. Im just not sure how much is to much. This surgery has thrown me completely off. I lost 50 pounds on my own before surgery but its a bigger struggle now it seems. I don't even eat much but is it to much. Please let me know how you long time banders do it. I'm a little lost with it. Do u eat an oz or 2 please explain so I don't have this horrible pain. It doesn't happen often but when it does it stinks.
