When were you sleeved?!
-
My nutritionist told me a YEAR! But theres no way Im waiting that long. However, I do plan on waiting until I know its safe and wont mess anything up! Until this surgery you really dont realize how much of your life revolves around food and drinks, well for me at least!

Hey! One of my best friends live in charlotte! So when were you sleeved? Everything going smoothly for you?!

Thats great! Youve done really well! I hope I can do the same..I was just sleeved last Friday and had internal bleeding so I had to have another surgery Saturday morning and blood transfusions the rest of the day. Definitely not what I had in mind!! But Ive had some bad nausea as well and Im praying I dont have anymore complications! I live in Wilmington but was sleeved in Pinehurst. Was the first week or two rough for you?! I keep second guessing whether or not I made the right decision! Merry Christmas to you too!

Thanks! Im still feeling pretty sick. I had surgery Friday, was very weak the rest of the day..tried to get up twice to use the bathroom and literally almost passed out. Turns out I had internal bleeding, so I had a second surgery Saturday morning and then got blood transfusions through that night. They let me leave yesterday afternoon and since Ive just been extremely tired and nautious as well as worried something else might go wrong. Hoping Ill start feeling better as the days pass and that I have no more complications! Im in no way hungry but I still have cravings, is that normal?! I feel like Im on the hottmess express. But hope you all are having a great Christmas Eve!! -

Thanks! If you dont mind me asking, how much weight have you lost in these first seven months?! Im super excited about the surgery just nervous about post op and changing mentally! -
I had a two week pre op diet but it was like any other diet Ive tried over the years, grilled chx, veggies, fruit, but instead of listening I felt I needed to get in all my fav foods before I could never eat them again! So im just worried theyre gonna weigh me in the morning and not be happy that I havent lost weight. And Im honestly SOOO ready for the surgery and to get healthy and to be happy about myself, the thing Im most stressed about is post-op and all the mental changes!!! I think youll do great and your decision is yours! Ive refrained from telling a lot of people besides close family and friends bc I dont want nor need any negativity! Weve got this girl!! We can help each other through the journey!!

My surgery date is tomorrow too! Im also nervous! Not really second guessing it, just more nervous because I didnt follow my pre-op diet very thoroughly :/

I have my first doctors appointment Nov 4th to talk about the lap band surgery. I will be paying for this operation out of pocket, so I am very interested in any feedback from people who have already had it done. Its very expensive out of pocket, so Im just wondering if yall think the surgery was worth it? How much weight have you lost and how fast? I want/need to lose about 100lbs and I feel like Ive tried everything. Feel free to give positive and negative feedback. Thank You!!! -

Thanks ladies! I appreciate the feedback and I have done my research. Ive been researching it for about a year now, so at this point I have decided to go forward with seeing the doctor/nutritionist/psych, I just found this site yesterday and was curious to see how actual people who have had it done feel about it. Ive heard plenty of "oh, i know so and so had it done and blah blah blah" but I havent gotten to speak directly to anyone thats had it done. So, here I am But thats awesome how well its worked for you!!! I, too, believe it will be a life changer
