I started my weight loss journey really in July 2013. I had just come back from Colorado the end of May and was totally disgusted with the fact that I couldn't even climb up a hill without breathing hard and that I couldn't climb up the small mountain or anything...it was awful. It was then that I realized that I was out of control and I was pushing 30 and I didn't want to be one of those 30 year olds that died of a heart attack because I didn't take care of myself. I didn't want to put myself or my family through that because I was selfish and overweight and didn't take care of myself. It is not fair to them!
 
I had done every single diet you can think of and I would always lose like 20 pounds and fall off of it because HELLO I LOVE FOOD! Food was always a sense of comfort for me. When I was sad, upset, happy, whatever I ate and I hated exercise because I always felt like I was dying, but the point about a lifestyle change is that it's just that a LIFESTYLE change and it's not something that's going to happen over night. So I started researching the Lap Band Weightloss Surgery. I went in for my consultation in July and after many, many days of waiting and doctor's appointments I had my surgery October 30, 2013. It was and still is the best decision I ever made.
