[font='comic sans ms'][color=rgb(0,0,255)]I had my first consult with my surgeon for the LapBand on Oct 31, 2013. My check list is coming along nicely.[/color][/font]
[font='comic sans ms'][color=rgb(0,0,255)]Psych-eval, PCP clearance with minor supplimentation on Iron and D2 Rx. I have attended my pre-op class, receiving the WLS "Bible," which I have read, forwards, backwards, up, down, and inside-out! And, I've met with my nutritionist. Whew! Not bad for 6 weeks![/color][/font]

[font='comic sans ms'][color=rgb(0,0,255)]Monday I had an EGD (because I have had reflux for about 8 years), which determined I had a hernia, and a biopsy was taken. I have a 1 in 10 chance of having Barrett's, and if positive, means the Band in out. So, I'm a bit nervous, as I really don't want to go down the road of gastric bypass. I believe the hernia will be repaired at the same time as the WLS surgery, but I have not yet discussed that with my surgeon.[/color][/font]

[font='comic sans ms'][color=rgb(0,0,255)]I am still trying get my 5-year weight history from my last PCP, and OBGYN...it's like pulling teeth. I've been working on that since Nov 1...What's up with that? Anyway, that info is the last thing I need for Insurance to approve.[/color][/font]
