I got pregnant 8 months out, yes it was an big upppps but I managed, I was only down 45 pounds at that time.

Okay I have many questions, for those of you who already went thur the plastic surgery what kind of cloths do you wear to leave the hospital?? Does everyone get liquid or pills pain medicine??? For those of you who didn't get an unfill did you have alot of swelling which affected you where you could not eat or drink?? My doctor told me I didn't need an unfill but I am kind of worried of getting to tight and not being able to take my pain medicine.

Hi everyone my name is Esmeralda I am getting my Tummy tuck, breast lift with implants and lipo next Thursday the 21, I am close to goal but it has been 3 years so I think I am ready for the last phase of my weight loss. I am a little worried because I have 3 kids and they are young (12, 8 and 22 month old) but I do have someone that is going to help me. Any feed back on everyones recovery would be great.

Harleynana, How much time can you that it was uncomfortable where you could not move or really function and how would you comparte the pain?

Hi Everyone, I just had a baby :clap2: back in April and I am having such a hard time restarting my band journey, I had my surgery back in 01/07/05 and weighed 243.5, as of today I am at 192 but it's so hard to even start losing again. I had my surgery in 2005 and I have never had a problem seeing him, if you go in for a fill and you request him, Dr. Morales or the other doctor they are usually available for you, I have no compliants so far and I am three years out. Any question please e-mail me.

I was banded back in January 2005 since I have lost about 80 pounds but my journey was interrupted that same year with a pregnancy. I had my baby in April 2006 and it took about a year before I was able to get back on the band wagon and continue with what I started which was to get to my goal of reaching 150 pounds, well 3 years later and so many interruptions on the way I am finally only 12 pounds away from my goal, one thing I forgot to mention is during my pregnancy I stopped taking vitamins because they would get me sick and since I can’t tolerate the taste in my mouth so I don’t take any, well my question is to all the long term bandsters is have any of you encountered any health problems now that you are close or at you goal weight??? <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> I just last week went to the doctor and asked for a blood test to make sure that I was okay and healthy since there are time that I can’t really eat, I am not tight because I rarely PB but certain things I wont eat just because I am afraid that it will get stuck and I also have days that I really forget to eat so I will have maybe 1 or 2 small meals a day. I find out that I am slightly anemic and that I have a hyperactive thyroid which before I was always a healthy fat person. How many people out there have problems now which they didn’t have before losing weight??? Was it worth it?? To me I feel it is I just need to start taking better care of myself before my anemia gets worse but has anyone gotten in worse health because of the band???

Thank you for all you information makes me feel better because I was on my period the day that I had my blood drawn and yesterday I saw the doctor and he said my anemia was very minor and that supplements and vitamins should do the job also about my thyroid I will get re-tested in a month and go from there. I do feel alot better now that I lost weight thats why I was kind of shocked when my tests came back with these results.

That's my number one complain, I am always freezing!!! My hands and feet are almost numb sometimes that's how cold I am, I hate that.

I love my wine and i have it at least once a week (2 - 3 glasses).

Dr. Kuri patient here, surgery 01/07/05 lost for far 80 pounds but I also have a band baby born last year 04/06. Great doctor nice choice.

I was one of the ones who had no support but dicided to do it because only I knew deep inside that this was hope for me to change my life for me and not anyone else. On the morning that I was leaving my husband, mother and sister all tried to convince me not to do it and yet I went with a positive attitude that everything would turn out right and let me tell you its the best thing that could of happen to me. Dr. Kuri is a great doctor I have not regrets, don't let anyone make you change your mind because you are the only who knows what is best for you!! Good luck

I told my oldest which is 12 and I asked him to keep it between him and I because I didn't want everyone to know, the reason why I didn't tell my 7 year old is that he shares to much information with everyone and I didn't what everyone to be questioning me every time they shaw me, as it is he thinks I am pregnant every time I need to go to the bathroom to throw up and I tell him I am sick to my stomach (he remembers when I was pregnant with my baby) I figure when he gets older I can explain it to him and he would understand. I feel that only certain people should know and that if I want to share it later I would. The only ones that know is my parents, two sister and brother. Its funny to see how everyone really wants to know what diet I am on because I have lost alot of weight, keep the guessing.

What was your starting weight?? I never gained any weight till about my 6th or 7th month, my doctor use to tell me that as long as the baby is growing everything was fine.

I got pregnant 8 months after getting my band (08/2005) and I remember being so mad at myself because I didn't want any more kids, the whole pregnancy I only had a partial unfill and that was because I could'nt hardly eat anything but I still wanted to be controlled so I went from a 2.2 cc to a 1.1 and that was fine the whole time. I only gained 23 pounds and was never really hungry. When my baby was born he was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and he was 21 inches long, the best part was when 2 weeks later I was down 26 pounds. The only bad thing I learned about being pregnant with the band is that after the baby is here and your ready to start again its even harder than the first time the motivation is not the same and because of the baby it's really hard to work out. I have a hard time excepting compliments especially since lately I have been getting a lot of attention and I tend to forget that it’s because I look better. My best friend always tells me that I need to talk to someone or seak professional help because I don’t except myself for what I am now.

That happens to me all the time and I have a friend that tells me I have mental problems. I honestly feel at times that I havent lost weight and I still feel big!
