i was banded on the 4th and am back to work today, the 8th. i am a bit more sore then i thought i would be, but i have a pretty easy going job for the most part. plus, i figured, if it gets too much i will just go home. i think it depends person to person, so if you need a couple more days, by all means, take them!

and doing great. i am more sore then i though i would be, but all in all, things are good. the flights home were kinda rough, i got really really tired. but i was so glad to be home. i had a wonderful experience w/ my doctor and his staff. they were terrific and treated my mom like gold too! will post more later. congrats to everyone else on the wagon!

one--people have no shame! give the poor guy his leg! two--wth would you store your leg in your bbq'er? come on now! no better place to put it??

i went to red lobster for my last supper too! omg, it was so good...just thinkin about it now makes my mouth water, but only 2 days left....

OMG! i agree too! you may not agree w/ the war but by god support the men and women who are there fighting so you can sit your ass here and talk crap about it! pisses me off so bad! why dont you just go live in the crappy 3-world country you are so in defensive of! you wouldnt be allowed to say one damn thing like you do here!

i have a 7 1/2 month old. i make all her food. i steam pretty much everything and then put it in a food processor. the other night my dh was jokin around how me and the baby will be eating the same things...and he is right. everything tastes really good, nothing added. i also do this to beef, chicken, pork for her to add to the veggies. rice too. for her i get it all pureed and then freeze it in ice cube trays, just the right size helping for her....

wasa...why do you say this about dr huacuz? you are the first person i have found to say anything bad about him and i am very curious! i know several people who have gone to him with great results and no problems. they have all just raved about what wonderful service and care you receive and how great he and his staff was. please share any information you have about him! thank you.

today i feel like bawling my eyes out! i feel like crap from having the flu and now a stuffy nose and sore throat. listen to me whine...sorry. all i want to do is eat, and i am suppose to be on my pre-op diet. i cheated. now i want to cry even more. and i am stuck here at work and all i want to do is go home and curl up in bed and cry. and go to the bathroom and puke up what i ate since i am not suppose to. i think i need some extra sleep or something. i feel like i weigh about a zillion pounds right now. i am bloated and just feel ikcy all around, what am i doing? i am so excited to get this done next week. why am i wiggin out now? is anyone else doing this same sort of thing?

i had my daughter feb 19 and am having this done on oct 4. i will let you know next week if it were something i think i could have dealt w/ right after giving birth. i had to have a c-section so there was the recovery from that as well.

i think its great you have a supportive hubby. i am on the other side of things and know how hard it is when they dont support your choice. i am sure you have tried many things in the past to lose the weight, so dont feel bad or guilty. that is something i have had to work on as well. there is still a large part of me that feels guilty, but it will be better in the long run! i will feel better and be healthier and that will reflect into my dh and my kids lives. keep your chin up! best of luck!

i share your worry of extra skin too. my dh and i have a deal that i can have a tummy tuck and a breast lift/augmentation after i have been at my goal weight for a year. and i have to have the money saved for the majority of the cost. i am 27 and have a low bmi. where are you having surgery? i am going to Mexico because my bmi is too low for anyone in the states to do it, that and its SO much cheaper being self pay. best of luck on your liquid diet. i started mine monday. its hard, but will be worth it. good luck!

carrot--i am right there with ya! i started my 10 day pre-op monday. it was hard until about noon. then i got really really sick. :sick i must have gotten a bug, but i am finally starting to feel better today. i havent vomitted any since yesterday afternoon. that made the first 2 days perty darn easy to stick to. this morning i just feel like bawling my eyes out. i want to eat. i know i can do this, i just really didnt think it would play such mental hell with me. hope everyone is doing great. 7 days until surgery!

so today is day numero 1. so far so good. i had tea for Breakfast, apple juice for a snack, chicken broth and a slushie for lunch.... only 9 and 1/2 days of liquids left to the big day!!! hope everyone else on their pre-ops are doing great.

i quit drinkin coffee when i quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago. to this day, the smell of coffee makes me want to light up. so i dont. i am a, or shall i say, was a heavy consumer of mtn dew and pepsi. today is day 1 of my 10 day liquid pre-op. i decided to give up pop now too, even though technically i could still drink it. figure i will get myself 10 days "clean" before surgery, since after i cant have any. my surgeon didnt say anything about not having caffeine..at least not yet. maybe that will change when i meet w/ the nutritionist next week? best of luck!

i was just wondering what liquid vitamins everyone uses. i looked at an older thread and got a few ideas, but just wondering what else people were using and having luck with. thanks!
