Thank you Wheetsin! Hopefully it won't happen again ... I wasn't following "the rules" and didn't chew well enough. I have gotten things stuck before but this time I knew it wasn't going to stay down. It came up quickly and I felt fine afterwards but all I could think about was my stomach pushing up through my band Going to see my doc and having a fluoro this weekend

OK so I've been "plateau'd" for 2 weeks now and still a little over a week away from my 2nd fill so I thought I'd try this plateau busting diet ... Has anyone else tried it and does it work?? When it says 45g protein supplement, is that in addition to the high protein foods listed?? Anyone know? How to break a plateau #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily

Anyone have kids under 5 AND the lapband?
BlooEyez replied to gingerbug's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm also a SAHM ... my youngest are 4 & 2. I came home from MX the day after my surgery and immediately returned to my normal "duties" ... I didn't have to do any lifting as they both insist on being independant and doing things on their own, I did pick up my 2 year old once without thinking but it didn't cause any problems. As far as diaper changes, it might be easier to get up & down if you changed them on a bed instead of on the floor ... just a thought! Good luck! :biggrin1: -
Congrats Stacy!! After doing 4 minutes this morning I thought there would be no way in heck I could do another 4 minutes today because it makes my legs so tired & achy ... anyway, I surprised myself and went for 5 minutes this afternoon! :whoo: One of these days I'll master that machine ...

This also may sound weird ... but when I get a sweet tooth, I eat a spoonful of peanut butter

Well I'm still only able to do about 2 minutes at a time ... I'm starting to hate the darn thing and wish I would have gotten a treadmill instead. :rolleyes I should have tried one in a gym or a store beforehand ... I honestly had no clue that it would be difficult. I can go outside and walk 2 miles in 30 minutes and not get nearly as tired as 2 minutes on the elliptical makes me. :paranoid I'm still workin' it though! :nervous

I couldn't agree with you more! I was so excited to get the book, and upon receiving it I thought it was cool the way they had serving sizes broken down by which surgery you had and how far out from surgery you were etc ... but honestly, I haven't opened the book since! I just don't have time for all of these "gourmet" types of recipes ... and only a handful of them actually sounded good while the others were *blah!*:rolleyes
