    I've always used the fat free version ... someone (I think my Mom) told me that the sugar free tasted like crap but I've never actually tried it myself. It's worth a shot to save those 4 carbs though so I'm definitely going to check it out next time I go grocery shopping ... Thanks Renewed :thumbup:

    I do great with the foods I eat, as far as keeping them low carb ... heck, I've even avoided the boxes of Hostess cupcakes, twinkies and my absolute favorite frosted strawberry Poptarts that have been in my pantry this last week so what is my weakness? Iced coffee! It's the hazelnut creamer and the 5 carbs per tablespoon :thumbup: I really really want to get down to 191.6 lbs (or less!) by the 27th ... because it was July 27th last year (the day before my surgery) that I weighed 291.6. I know I can do it with low carb, it's just this addiction to these iced coffees that has seriously slowed my loss down. Somebody slap me! :redface: I bid on some Ketostix on ebay but got outbid at the last minute ... goin' to the store tonight to get some! Hoping that if I can get into some kind of ketosis it'll keep me motivated ...

    Same here! :thumbup: Sounds good! Plan on trying it tonight (minus the spinach tho :biggrin:) Thanks for sharing! I drink the Atkins shakes ... one for breakfast most mornings and occasionally another as a snack later in the day.
  8. Courtney ~ I am so sorry to hear you've been going through this ... I think you should definitely contact Dr Kuri's office and perhaps go down there to get checked out. As far as it being dangerous to go down there, I was just there in May for a fill and didn't have any problems getting back & forth across the border, and the new hospital that he is in now is awesome and I feel safe while I'm there. Dr Kuri is great and really cares about his patients, so give his office a call and ask to speak to him personally ... voice your concerns and let him help you.   10. ... And I find it disgusting! Well, the Cafe Caramel anyway ... For many months now I've been drinking Atkins shakes for breakfast, my absolute fav was their Cafe Caramel Latte flavor (recommended by LJM! :smile:) ... so anyway, last week I go to the store to stock up on them and the shelves were empty :crazy: and a store employee explained to me that Atkins was changing their packaging and they expected the new product to come in sometime later in the week. Well, I need breakfast dammit :mad2: so yesterday I drove around to different stores trying to find some. Ended up finding them at Ralph's in all their new packaging glory :biggrin: so I bought every single case of Caramel that they had. This morning as I was tearing away the cardboard to get one out I read "New Look / Great New Taste!" and I thought ohh nooo! Sure enough, they screwed with the taste and it tastes like crap. :w00t: I sent an email to Atkins letting them know how disgusted I was as I was trying to gag down their shake ... idiots! So now I have 2.3 cases of this crap sitting in my fridge ... ya know, it's one thing to change the packaging but why mess with the taste??

    Question about food.....

    The last time I tried steak it did an immediate u-turn ... I tried Trader Joe's Authentic Carne Asada, it was really tender and I had no problem with it so that is another option if you find you're not able to do the steak. I eat hamburger meat all the time and have had no problems. I currently have a pot roast cooking in the crock pot, it'll be the first time I've tried that since banding so we'll see what happens Good luck on your Lap Band journey!

    I'll have to look for that one ... I use the Nestle CoffeeMate Hazelnut FF Creamer and it has 5 carbs per 1 T (25 calories) ... they make a sugar free but I've heard it doesn't taste good so I've stuck with the fat free. Thanks for the tip though, I'll check it out next time I go to the store :thumbup:

    Hi Alfie ~ I use the Fat Free Hazelnut creamer ... I've been TRYING :thumbup: to be good by actually measuring how much I put in instead of dumping and like you I add some packets of Splenda too. I am so addicted to them! Trying to limit myself to 1 a day in order to keep my carb count down (but it hasn't been easy!) I had like 3 yesterday :thumbup: ... I haven't had one yet today so I'm doing good so far :cool2: Sounds like you are doing good ... glad to hear you're feeling great!
