I had a lap band done in 2007 after gaining a bunch of prednisone weight. Did well with the band until this past December when I got the flu and coughed my port loose. After 15 happy years, I had it removed on 4/19/2022 and converted to a sleeve. I was very reluctant to do the sleeve until I ran into a study that showed VGS could “reset” the metabolism.  So, here I am - recovering and hoping for that reset!
