I am 3 months out and have not been able to stomach any sort of protein. I just got some of the Isopure ready to drink and they are tolerable. Still not something you jump up and run to the fridge for but tolerable. The blue raspberry is the most tolerable.

I can not consume any protein shake or bar. They simply make me sick. I mix 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup skim milk, and some sort of water mix packet. That equals about 38-40 grams of protein. My nutritionist said my homemade concoction is perfectly fine.

Not much of anything to tell the truth. I can only take in 2 oz or less per eating.

6 Week Stall! Ugh! Suggestions Pls
anb3333 replied to Mandabear's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
I too have hit a stall. Including 1 week pre-op diet, I lost 32lbs as of my 3rd week post-op. I'm now at 4.5 weeks and the scale hasn't moved in at least 6 days. I think most of my problem is that I tried 7 different Protein supplements and wasn't able to tolerate any of them. So, I didn't get any protein other than from my food. I started taking Ensure High Protein yesterday which has 25g of protein per bottle. Drinking 2 gives me 50g daily. I hope this helps my stall. Anyone care to share info about your stalls? -
Including the 1 week pre-op diet, I had lost 32lbs by my 4th week. Now, I haven't lost a single pound in almost a week. I was unable to get any extra protein in me because I could not tolerate the protein supplements. I started taking Ensure High Protein drinks 2 days ago. Is it my lack of protein that caused the stall? Or do most people hit a stall around 4-5 weeks post-op? Tell me your story.....

Tomorrow has finally come! Scared to death....

I am having gastric sleeve March 12. I had pancreatitis back in 2009 and lost over 100 lbs, but I slowly gained it back once I could eat regular food again. I am now 5'2" and weighing in at 250lbs. I am scared to death to have this surgery, but I am trying to keep telling myself I can't look or feel the way I do now any longer. Any helpful advice?
