    Skinny, i am researching also. The Mayo Hospital of The South has stopped doing banding as there have been too many problems. Gastric Bypass is recommended if you are more than 200 pds overweght and the sleeve for less. I have gone to the support group meetings and heard the good and the bad. What a life changing event.     Bree, look for a hospital that is listed as a Center of Excellence. They have demonstrated the highest sucess rates and usually their docs are Board Certified. Avoid teaching hospitals as you may end up being the guinea pig for a resident or fellow.
