I posted this on another board with no responses... What happens if you drink a carbinated beverage? What about beer or wine?

Hi All! It has been forever since I have been on here! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! So, I can't eat ANY meat. It all gets stuck and I wind up PB'ing it. I chew until it can't be chewed anymore. My doctor doesn't think it is that big of an issue. Does anyone else have this problem???

I feel your pain.. i have gained 12 lbs back in about 6 months... I know i don't make the best choices... but I just eat what will stay down at this point.. the band isn't too tight... i am very upset with myself i thought i would be closer to my goal a year afterwards!

I have had more problems the last few days too... I wonder if the stress and excitement make everything a little tighter.... I am surprised that you can eat chicken... that is the worst one for me.....

I guess I am just venting... but I am so sick of being single. I still feel like the type of guys that I like, won't like me b/c of my weight. I have tried plenty of fish but just keep meeting guys who are old or big babies that throw tantrums and expect a woman to be a servant. I feel like I am going to be alone forever. Should i just settle on someone whom I don't like so much? I just still feel like the big girl that everyone is friends with. :crying:

So, where do you find a man that doesn't mind a bigger woman? I don't know anyone around here. I have tried eharmony.. not even one hit and match but nothing..... Do you have to be 120 lbs to get a man?

So for over a month, the scale has not moved.. I have no idea how that is possible b/c i don't eat a whole hell of a lot. I am not hungry very often either. I guess I will go get another fill... I am very frustrated!:crying:

I agree.. I tried the FB but that just got emotions involved.. what a mess!

What does a slippage feel like? How do you know if you have had one? I got the flu over the weekend and was vomitting a LOT. Dr. called in medicine to stop it and it worked, but now I am paranoid that I could have slipped the band. I have no pain, still eating normal. Just curious!

I am really surprised to hear how many people are just now having their 2nd or 3rd fills. I started getting fills 6 weeks after my surgery. My dr. gives me .5cc's at a time and I go every 2 weeks. I don't have to go if I am losing good. I currently have 4.75 cc's.

So why do we slime???

I am down 47 lbs. I hit a big platue that lasted all of last month. I got very discouraged but then I thought.. I have lost 43 lbs in 5 months. That is nothing to be sad about! I am finally losing again and I feel great! Just this week I hit a major goal. I am in the 100's now! Woohooo!:teeth_smile:

So, I had my 4th or 5th (can't remember) fill last Thur. He gave me 1cc b/c i haven't noticed much difference the past few times. Well I think I am at the spot I have heard so many talk about. I am definately limited on my intake and I am now unable to drink when I eat. I am having a lot of "stuck" items. So is this what they call the sweet spot?:confused2:

I think everyone of us that has had this surgery worried about dying on the table. I did a lot of research on it. There is less than a 1 and 200 chance of dying. My dr. has done hundreds with no death. It really is not worth worrying about. But I do understand what you are going through. It is worth it!

So, I am feeling the weight loss everywhere except my arms. I look at other people who weight about the same as me and their arms are soooo much smaller. When will they start shrinking?

Last time I was in the waiting room waiting for a fill, there was an old man talking to his wife (apparently both hard of hearing by the volume they were yelling). He was worried that the Dr. was going to take him off of his Viagra. LMAO... it was all I could do to not laugh!

I am surprised to see how much you all have in your bands already. I go in every 2 weeks for a fill. My dr. gives me .5 cc's at a time. I only have 2.75 cc's. I have resriction, am losing 1-2lbs a week and do plenty of Pbing. LOL... I had the flu this weekend and was very worried with the vomitting. But I think everything is ok. I have been doing terrible with exercise. I work 11 hour days and by the time that I get home at night, make dinner and all it is time for bed.

I have lost 43 pounds. Banded on 10/17.

My area always hurts for about a week. If it keeps up I would call the Dr.

How many of you are still drinking protein shakes? I quit b/c they are so expensive, but I think i was losing better when I was drinking them. Do you think that is all in my head?:tongue:

it was hell!!!! I was so scared! I tried to take a drink to help the food go down but then it just made it worse. I couldn't breath and really started to panic! What are some things that you do to help through this?

I just put on a pair of size 16 jeans and they fit like a glove!!!! I haven't worn a size 16 for at LEAST 5 years! YEAH!!

I got my 3rd fill today and I am soooo happy.. They were 2 weeks late giving it to me b/c my dr. got called into emergancy surgery the day i was supose to have it. They say that this time i should really feel a difference and I hope so b/c i haven't felt much of a difference on the other ones... I haven't lost weight in a month and it is really discouraging!
