I was banded in March by Dr. Ponce. My ticker isn't correct anymore. I have lost 37 LBS. I am a bit of a slow looser but 5 of those pounds have come off in the past week so maybe I am getting in gear. My husband used to work at Flav-O-Rich out there near where you live. I'd love to talk to you anytime.

I work in Chattanooga and live just outside the area in Ringgold. Please feel free to PM me. I'll be happy to answer anything that I can for you. Congratulations on your decision.

Vines, I just tend to get pitying looks whenever I mention my mad crush on the young Gene Kelly... I like to think I am just way to classy for my friends LOL

I know the greif I may get for this choice but.......Gene Kelly circa Brigadoon....swoon

Definitely write a letter to HR but keep in mind document document document...start your own log with dates and events so that you have a clear basis for your argument that allows you to proove your point without emotion involved-best of luck!

I have had a really lousy few months, lost job-got new job with huge cut in pay that I don't like, family stuff etc......... I went ahead and got another fill on Thursday because I haven't lost any weight in weeks and I gotta tell ya'll I am in serious food mourning. I am sad, depressed and I want nothing more than some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, mac & cheese.....need I go on. Wow what an eye opener at how much I used food as comfort and now my band won't let me. Good or Bad... having a hard time telling the difference.:think

I have to say that any adult no matter what belief system they follow should be grown up enough to pass over anything they don't want to see. Unless you belong to a convent/monastary there are always going to be things in the general public that you may not agree with. If you don't want to look....don't. If you do....great. We are adults and God especially instituted free will.

I have read everything posted on this thread and everyone here is very well spoken and the posts are very intelligent. I frimly beleive in God as my savior and can only say that I cannot look at the beautiful full moon..the leaves in the fall...the sunset over an ocean...or my children's faces and not have all the proof I need that HE is REAL. I echo everyone's sentiments that you are entitled to beleive in whatever and whomever you choose but to me the mystery of God is part of the beauty of him. I would hate to imagine my life without that strength to guide me and that hope to cling to. Faithfully, Heather

If you will check out some of their magazine adds there are indeed some older women models. I truly applaud them not just not using runway anorexic models but also for showing the beauty in every woman not just what regular commercial ads tell us is beautiful.

I have also found that food does not occupy my every thought anymore and that is a welcome change.
