  1. Behavioral modification is the key... I went to my first session of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and it was incredible! We talked about the purpose behind certain unwanted behaviors as all behavior is developed to serve a purpose, being ready, willing and able, thought mapping (finding the origin/pattern of thought that ultimately contributes to certain unwanted behaviors), and replacing one behavior with another that's as equally rewarding, if not more.

Thank you! I've been following that thread. Love the podcasts in particular. Ordered the book Bariatric Mindset Success off of the recommendation there. Back to CBT, I'm just getting started, you know? There are therapists that do 12-sessions and that's it (you graduate so to speak), but I do not believe in this approach so I'm taking my time. To keep the weight off for life, I believe I need to dig deep into all my issues... Will definitely share on the thread any valuable insight as I gain more introspection.
