Congrats be careful, stay hydrated and walk a lot.

Please be very very very careful throwing up. I popped a stitch and ended up having an emergency surgery on Wednesday due to gastric obstruction. It was aweful. Chew chew chew and eat slow, stay hydrated.
-
Yes Dr. Ariel Ortiz @ OCC. I had nausea and vomited thats why the stitch popped out. Be very very very careful not to throw up. Do everything you can not to. Chew chew chew, eat slow, stay hydrated and obviously don't over eat. My problem is certain smells make me gag sometimes.

Mexico Dr. Ortiz
-
No they didn't remove any of the stomach. It wasn't dead. I now have a "normal" stomach that needs to heal now. I'm home now.
-
Basically I popped a top stitch and my stomach kinda of folded over itself making an obstruction. Had surgery Wednesday and they took all the stitches out. I'm getting discharged now came in Monday leaving Friday. My surgeon was Dr. Ortiz in Mexico. My surgeon here called him and he said take the stitches out. Warning: try not to throw up. Be careful. If that means taking an hour to eat slowly do it. Don't get too full. Chew chew chew. When your not eating drink liquids. I'm down 51#s probably more now since I haven't eating since Sunday. Ha.
-
Going into surgery within hour to see why I'm blocked. Possibly remove the plication, or remove dead stomach if needed.
-
I had the plication march 2012 and I'm in hospital now because of nausea, vomiting blood and abdominal pain. Had a few test done and come to find out my stomach has twisted and there's an obstruction. Not sure why or where we are going from here. They are draining my stomach with a nose drain right now. Since Monday they have drained 1700ml so far. Just took an X-ray waiting to hear back from doctor. Been in hospital sine mon 8:30am about 48 hours. Might have to have surgery.

Walk, walk and walk then when your done walking walk some more.

How do you deal with social situations after WLS?
stina replied to chowchows's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
I haven't had to explain to anyone myself. However I would say I have built my metabolism up by eating very small healthy meals but eating more frequently like every 2-3 hours. Also that I limit fluids while eating as to not get full on liquids. -

How Far Post Op Are You And How Much Weight Have You Lost?
stina replied to Bekrudz's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
I only found out two weeks ago. I had my surgery in Mexico @ OCC self pay and my regular insurance is through Kaiser. The only thing I told them was that I had bariatric surgery and they said that the bariatric department will monitor me throughout my pregnancy. I haven't got into the details of what surgery I had just yet. They are supposed to contact me within 2 weeks. I did the regular pregnancy blood tests and the results were all within normal range. So far so good, just wish I could drink more fluids easier. -
Thoughts and prayers to you and your wife. Wow this is very scary as I've been having stomach issues since late June but I just found out that I'm 11 weeks pregnant and figured it was that or at least I hope so. Mine is more being nauseated (upset stomach) but no puking. Now I'm worried, I also went to OCC March 14th. I hope your wife is recovering well and your hanging in there. How scary this must be for you guys. Please update us with any details. Many blessings!
