At Costco u can buy pop chips 100 calories per bag, this is a treat, I agree, we need to get our protein in first, but once in awhile u need the snack, n this is a good snack, -

Yes I got it when I drank water, now that I am on semi solid foods it seems to of gone away, I also experience it sometime when I eat or drink to fast or maybe to much. Try using a heating pad, if it continues I would go see your Dr, to be sure that nothing else is happening. Gl

I chose this surgery also due to being less invasive did not want my stomach cut, I am doing only the treadmill and once it gets warm will start walking outside. In the summer I golf, so that should be good exercise. This is a fantastic tool that we received, it is only how we use the tool to show great results, I have given myself a goal to be down to my goal weight by September, this gives me lots of time to be realistic, on the bumps that I am sure are going to arise, in the next few months. There is one thing we all need to remind ourselves is the SCALE is not always our friend, the iINCHINCHS are just as important. Sometimes we can be that size 12 and still weigh 170, that was me the last time I lost weight, gl in your weight loss journey

I also went to Angelo's. Hospital DR lopez Corvala, was the surgeon, March 8 2012, they were great, the room was nice, nurses were great, the only thing I have that was a negative was the language barrier in the beginning, then got a translator. It has been 2 weeks now, finally on some solid food, I am down 24.8 lbs. I still have a shake for Breakfast, cottage cheese or chicken for lunch, salmon, peas, and 3 baby spoons of potato, supper, tonite i had 1/2 cup potao Soup, and a 1/4 of a toasted ham sandwich, this fills me when I chose these for meals. I am having probs getting Water down, but hopefully that comes in timr -

Liquids 3 Days Post Op?
Canadianprairiegal replied to stina's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
I still can barely get half a bottle of Gatorade down, as for my shakes manage 8 oz. no prob within 30 mins, water difficult do not know why but seems to upset my tummy? But I keep drinking as much as I can which is only maybe 16- 20 oz a day. Trying hard to increase this, I can have creamy soups now, have half cup again takes 30 mins to get this down. As for coffee, no cravings, but I do have half a cup of green tea once day. I am on my 2 nd week after surgery. -
What To Expect When You're Getting Plicated
Canadianprairiegal replied to CeeBelize's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
Yes u can have a few drinks nothing fizzy tho, u should wait for 6 months after surgery i was adviced, but do not forget 1 or 2 the most, do not want to waste your calorie intake, as for pasta I was told as soon as I get used to putting solids in I can have pasta, I am only 9 days after surgery, still on liquids shakes, soups, I can not wait to eat something solid, to actually chew on something, lol. My friend that had this done 7 weeks ago is eating everything I am so envious. -

Try shakes again, and restrict yourself to no breads, carbs, for 3-5 days sometimes our bodies need a shock to get back to losing, -
What To Expect When You're Getting Plicated

I was retaining my water so bad. After surgery, it was bad looked like the Michelan man, had the surgery on the 8 th, weighed 238, when I got home 249, as of today all swelling down, drinking shakes, soups, down to 234, I have been walking 30-45 mins a day, yesterday I had a very sore side left, once I had some creamy soup it went away, so I am thinking this maybe a sign saying feed me, very hard to get all my water in, obviously my weight will be a slow process of losing, but that is ok, as long As it comes off, the other key we hav to remember is inches is a big thing, measure yourself, sometimes those 3 lbs, means 7 inches lost. The inches are very important too, so do not get discouraged with the scale, look forward to the new slim us in ayear. -
I Go In March 8Th For My Surgery
Canadianprairiegal replied to Canadianprairiegal's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
Went ok, no pain, everyone was great, the only thing that happened, I had an allergic reaction to the anesthic so I was a balloon, face, feet hands, but after 5 days it is going down. I am feeling good, a few tummy spasms, my back is sore, but the more I walk ,the better it gets, trying to get all my liquids in, this I find hard because u get full so fast, so sipping constantly Friday I start the shakes so looking forward to that. -
Walk walk walk, I am only 5days after my surgery, I have been walking, since home on the treadmill for 50 mins. , not all at once 5-7 mins. At a time. As for food fish, chicken, beef, ham, just very small bites chew chew, they told me to eat my protein first then veggies, then the carb. Apparently we will be lucky to get in 4oz. Keep away from salty stuff, Looks like u r doing great, as for the gurgling that will stop in time,
