I'm trying to find out if the surgeon that did your sugery has anything to do with how successful your weight loss has been since your surgery? I am looking at having surgery done, and trying to decide which surgeon to have do it. I keep reading about those that haven't lost much weight, but it would help if I knew who did the surgery.

That is much more reasonable than I thought it would be in the US. I would rather not go to Mexico.

Thank you for sharing everything with me. The more I read, and the more interact with others, I'm starting to think surgery might just be to big of a risk, and to just try and work with my weight. Thanks again for the info. I saw the stats you sent, but I also know plication is very new, so it will be itneresting to see what the success rates are once more surgeries have been done. Are you considering the VSG? All the best to you.

Thank you so much for this information, it will certainly help me as I try to make a decision about what to do - because this is such a big decision. It must have been very difficult for you to go through all that pain and expense, and then just ending up right where you were to start with. Would you mind telling me if you had any problems as a result of the surgery? I'm kind of concerned with what happens to the stomach that is folded together? Any pain? Extra reflux?

I'm looking for a doctor to do GSP. It seems some people have good weight loss with GSP and some do not. I'm trying to find out if the success rate has to do with which doctor is doing the proceedure?
