I had the surgery on July 10th and had a little pain but nothing major. I am a single parent of 3 very active boys. I really wanted to be the parent for them that they needed and my weight held me back from doing a lot of fun things with them. I have followed the plan about 95 percent and exercise 6 days a week for 50 minutes. I have not pb'd or slimed...I really feel if you are careful that you have less of a chance that this will happen to you. It is more than just getting banded and that is it...food is a hard thing to overcome. It is not something to be taken lightly however it has been the best thing for me and a lot of others. You will do the best thing for you and your family. Good luck!!
I would be thrilled with 22 pounds! So far I have lost 12....I was banded on July 10th. I am following the plan with not a bite out of the program. My dr is much stricter than most on the diet part. I am only allowed cottage cheese, beans, cheese, and only 2 ounces at a time. I am to eat every 2-3 hours getting in between 40-80 grams of protein in a day. I work out 6 days a week for 50 minutes. I am getting discouraged at the scale however my pants are falling off so I can tell a lot more by the clothes. I figure if we follow the program it will eventually all come off.....right? Hang in there!
I finally lost 2 more pounds and got my chart on there. It would not let me cut and paste the address however it did let me copy and paste the picture directly into my signature. Hey...I am just glad that it worked! Hope everyone is having a great day.
I went to ticker.com and created a picture to attach to my signature. I have tried to cut and paste but it keeps saying that it is invalid. I cut and past all text in the box. Am I doing something wrong?
:help:I have gone to ticker.com and created my picture and when I cut and paste it says its invalid. Has anyone else had trouble? Do you cut and paste everything in the box.....that is what I did. Thanks!
I am getting a little discouraged....the first 2 weeks after surgery I lost 10 pounds. The last week and a half the scale has not moved. I am doing everything right and walking 50 minutes a day. Did anyone else experience this?
Yes I started liquid to lose the weight needed for insurance to cover the surgery. It is hard but soooo worth it! Try buying different shakes and mix it up. Chicken and beef broth are good in between and try some other links on the website to get other information about recipes. You will be ready to eat but you can do it!
I just got done with my dr's visit and they put me on eggs, cottage cheese, yogart, soup, etc. I am so excited! I have lost 22 pounds since my first visit....10 since being banded. Hope everyone is having a great day.:clap2:
I will tell you that the sugar-free popsicles have been wonderful. I am almost over the full liquid stage and am very happy! I have lost 10 pounds...none in the last 4 days though. I am trying not to get discouraged. Broth is really good for a change and salty instead of those sweet shakes. Hang in there..it is all worth it.
