26lbs in a week or 26 lbs since starting your preop diet? If it is 26lbs in a week, did they take out parts of you while they were in there doing surgery?

  5. Just got some ISOPURE Zero carb protein drink (coconut flavored). The taste is a little weird, but A LOT easier to drink than a protein shake.

    Help !

I am on day 5 and I pretty much feel the same. Ice pops are the best thing I have going right now (and Crystal Light). I just keep telling myself to push through, stay hydrated, and look forward to yogurt.

    OMG October 2013 Post-ops

I have been pooping a decent amount today ( if you can call it poop). I also had my first bout of naseua today (which is good for my fourth day). It hit gastband hard but with some breathing exercises I was able to keep from vomiting.
  10. Managed to get down my first whole protein shake today. Awesome (not really).
  11. For me, the worst pain so far is the pain inside the left part of my abdomen (not the cut sites). In other peoples experience, how long before that pain starts to get better?

    Muscle pain from surgery

It was only 4 days ago, I am just being whiny.

    Muscle pain from surgery

The calves are probably from walking and not getting enough water to make up for the exercise.

    OMG October 2013 Post-ops

I hate posted other places but not here. Had my surgery on Oct. 1st. It's not fun, but I haven't had any naseua or vomitting, so I consider that a positive.
  15. It is ridiculous to me that the only thing that hurts is inside. The left side (the same as everyone else) where the most internal trauma was. The external staple sites don't hurt at all, but that ache inside is murder. How long has that taken to go away for other people?
  16. Awake at 4am. Second day in a row. Just happens to be the same time the pills wear off. I don't really need them during the day, but they are the only way I can sleep. Just took some more and I guess I will get to go back to sleep when they kick in.
  17. By the way, something I have found helps me. I kept my incentive spirameter from the hospital and whenever I get really painful stomach gas pains I use it to make me breathe deeply until the pain subsides.
  18. Tomorrow will be a jello and ice pop day to get this out of my head.
  19. OK so I am allowed plain cream soups, so I tried Campbell's cheese soup tonight. My stomach hates it. I feel like my gut is going to burst open.
  20. Took a nap in a chair today, much better than the sleep I got in bed last night. Drinking crystal light seems to be easier today, so that is positive. I think I MIGHT get in 64 ozs today. Got down my multivitamins too. Still concerned I won't get in enough protein, but my doc said for the first week concentrate on the liquid more than the protein.
  21. I know I won't have to complain about this too long, but I hate sleeping on my back. I am a belly sleeper and obviously that is not working right now.
  22. I don't mind the staples, they look OK and aren't particularly uncomfortable. The hardest thing so far is eating or drinking anything. Ice pops are the most managable but even one of those is almost uncomfortable filling. My first experi, ent with a protein shake was a disaster as it was just too much ( even though it tasted fine). I need protein and I need to stay hydrated and I can tell that is going to be quite a challenge.
  23. A week. Then I can add in yogurt. A week later I can add in pureed vegtables.
  24. Right now, just liquids. Broths, sugar free Jello, Protein shakes, crystal light, and ice pops. The staples come out next week, plus they look cool in the mean time.
