i'm Dara. i'm 29, and had my surgery in 2009 (at the age of just-turned-25). at my heaviest, i was 312lbs and >50 BMI...with a height of 5'2''...you could have said i was 'barrel-y'

currently almost five years out, and my weight varies from 125lbs-130lbs, depending on the day. my lowest was 121lbs, but i started to feel too boney and i've been going to the gym more

my surgeon was Dr. Paul Wizman in Margate, FL and i currently live in S. Florida still (Boca Raton) -- he's a great surgeon + has a great team also.

no complications until about two years ago, after feeling absolutely HELL-ISH for almost a year i was diagnosed with critically-low iron levels (ferritin was a 9). i get iron infusions (infed brand) every couple of months when symptoms reappear, at a great Hematology place.

currently loving Pilates, "Criminal Minds" and trying to reappear into the 'living' side of life after finally feeling better following the anemia diagnosis.
