4ducolax a day does it? Two miralax daily is kind of cumbersome.... If ducolax alone will do it maybe ill switch to that

I did take the citrate. I guess thats what finally did it. I was doing daily miralax but i guess thats not enough (i did miss a day before things stopped moving). I am going to add the senna and colace...that ought to do it. Dont want to do this again. I guess between the Calcium and Iron and Protein, things just cant move on their own.

Much much better!!!! I think theres still a bit of blockage but things are moving some so i think i can take it from here!!! Whew It sure is nice to have a group who gives support during these times !!!!

Thanks for checking I got a little nervous about the magnisum since i did 3 saline enemas yestersay and magnisum is another saline thing. I think you can hurt your kidneys with too much of that. Im drinking a ton of Water and trying another oil enema but i think i may be hitting the Er this evening Ive never had one but im told inpactions can be dangerous

Thanks for the reply Ill try the magnesium If that doesnt work i guess im off to the ER... That sounds so unpleasant. Plus my surgery was in Mexico. Im 3 weeks post op on a sleeve to bypass revision. My bmi is fairly low as i lost quite a bit with the sleeve....unable to accomplish my final goal without the revision. I dont relish explaining to the doc that i am 3 weeks post op from a low bmi bypass done in Mexico.

SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION

Well....I'm afraid its the sugar in the apple juice that is keeping me going. My brain seems to just shut down without it. I haven't had any today though... just one Protein shake and an egg so far and I seem to be doing okay... maybe it was just a passing thing... fingers crossed. -

Thanks for the reply mlola When did you have your revision? Did the hunger ever subside? Sometimes i think that low glucose feeling is from my body not being able to absorb nutrients from food, since eating doesnt really seem to help. I am hoping that is temporary as my body adjusts... I just dont know. I certainly dont want to be sipping apple juice for the rest of my life. My teeth will fall out of my head lol -

Hello all Im so glad i found this thread!!!!! I was just revised from sleeve to bypass on Sep 10th so i am 11 days post op. I was one of the unlucky few who didnt loose much with the sleeve. I am a newbie to the bypass world and am trying to learn the ropes. I would love to hear more about the differences between "sleeve life" and "bypass life" Here is my biggest difference issue at the moment: When i got my sleeve, hunger really went away for about 6 mos. not just hunger, but that horrible "brain not working" irritable, unable to function feeling that comes with no glucose. Now... Post bypass.... the low glucose brain shut down is back with a vengence. I am on pureed foods and am eating LOTS to try and combat this. Probably too much for my healing stomach, but i have to work and my brain just isn't functioning. I find that eating doesnt really help for more than 20-30 minutes, even if its really high calorie. Sipping protein doesn't really help either. Another member suggested sipping a little 50/50 water apple juice all day. This has helped tremendously, but it goes against my whole no sugar or processed food lifestyle. Any one else have this issue ? How did you work through it? What other kinds of differences have you all found? Thanks Stacey -
I did the sleeve about 2 years ago and i almost went bananas waiting for the weight to start dropping. It was a good 2 weeks before i started loosing. Our bodies get really swollen and i, for one, didnt have a BM for at least 2 weeks. With my rny i have only lost 2lbs in 11 days but i learned from my sleeve that is just the way my body does it.. It will come....

Hi All, I am 9 days post op and back at work yesterday. My job takes a lot of mental energy, but my brain isnt working. Of course, my stomach is not in the least bit hungery, but, my brain is starving. I have that jittery, un-able to focus, irritalbe, angry feeling that comes with low glucose, and I am exhausted. I had to leave early yesterday... something I cant keep doing. Today I tried harder to keep a constant flow of intake... sipping Protein... eating my pureed stuff...but still struggling Anybody else have this issue? Did anything help? How long did this phase last? Thanks for your help Stacey

Thanks guys It goes against everything we know as vetran dieters, but i am on my way to get some juice to sip on all day tomorrow. Just out of curiosity soccermomma, how long were you " on the juice"

Hello Everybody I did a Sleeve to RNY revision on the 10th of September. So far so good. I have lots of swelling in my abdoment still, but otherwise things seem to be coming along nicely. Here's my biggest problem right now... I returned to work yesterday and my brain isnt working. Of course, my stomach is not hungry at all, but my brain is starving. I am on pureed foods and am trying to eat alot and am constantly sipping Protein, but I just cant seems to get enogh in to get me to get through the work day. I guess some of the stuff I'm taking in isnt being absorbed.... hopefully this stage will pass soon. Good luck to all you September folks !!!!! Hows everybody else doing?
