I've really enjoyed reading all of these! So, lets see, I won't miss not being able to go to the park with my daughter. I won't miss not wanting to embarrass my daughter in school, so I do all her conferences over the phone instead of going to her school. I won't miss having to be pushed in a wheelchair because I'm so fat I can't walk very far distances. I won't miss not being able to fit in a chair at the doctors office. I won't miss having to ask for a table with chairs at a restaurant because I can't fit in a booth, and then being scared i will break the chair. i wont miss not being able to sleep for more than 4 hours at a time because I wake up in excruciating pain in my back and hips. I won't miss insulin. I won't miss people talking about me to other people under their breath. I won't miss all the looks i get from people. I won't miss being trapped in my own fat suit and not being able to do hardly anything. I won't miss the sweating, the rashes or the GERD. I won't miss having to buy my clothes online because nothing from a store fits. I won't miss feeling like I'm too fat and ugly to ever have a man in my life. I won't miss being the fattest girl in my group. I won't miss people looking at me with pity when they see me struggling because of my obesity. I think that's all for now...lol. Whew!! That felt good to let that out! Thank you everyone!

Did you have a lot of pain right after surgery? Did you follow a strict diet before surgery? Did you ever cheat a couple of weeks before surgery? Sorry to ask so many questions. My surgery is on October 29th and I am starting to get very nervous and excited!

Hello everyone! So I saw this thread and I just want to say that I am also an October surgery! Mine is scheduled for October 29th and I am very excited/nervous! My starting weight was 413. I have been on the liver reduction diet for 8 months and my weight is now 323. I have been so nervous that I haven't done a good enough job at shrinking my liver and when I go into surgery I am terrified that I will wake up to my doctor telling me that my liver wasn't ready so he won't do the surgery. Have any of you felt that way too?

Good luck! My insurance finally approved my surgery. I am just waiting for them to set a date and I still have to do my pre-op testing.

Hi Terry... I just have one more question. Did you worry about your liver not being small enough? I have been on a liver shrinking diet since the end of February. I have been trying my best to follow the diet completely, but it's so hard and I have blown it quite a bit. I mean, don't get me wrong i have been successful, I lost 80 lbs when the doctor only required me to lose 33. But, I haven't stayed completely on the diet and I am so scared that my liver isn't small enough. My doctor also said that he will put me on an all liquid diet 48 hours before my surgery and that would help shrink my liver, but I still worry. Thanks again for all of your help.

Thank you so much Terry! I have a lot of back issues so I have quite a bit of pain most of the time. I have heard a lot of people say they felt felt very sick for the first couple of weeks, did you feel that way too?
