Last drain is coming out today. Surgeon is keeping me another night just to ensure I am 100% before I head home. Walking without a blood bag will be the best thing every.

Drop removed this morning. Surgeon is happy with fluids intake. Biggest issue at the moment is the drain on my left side. Sadly don't think it will be out until tomorrow. Hospital staff are amazing. How are you doing?

Staceyd, had op yesterday, stapling complication so was in icu last night. Catheter and nose tube just removed. Hooray a glass of water. I am so grateful. Rest up.

Good luck everyone with surgeries this coming week. I go in tomorrow at 6am.

Hang in there team 28th...we are on the home stretch. Already Saturday night here in Australia!

Last day of work is done. Boss is a nosey parker. Managed to squirm out of there without revealing too much. Sigh! Not back till 11//12. Hope it's enough.

Geez, there is hope! My surgeon is very particular and think he is being cautious.

Was suggested to take comfortable, easy to put on slippers and Chapstick. Any other good recommendations?

And so the countdown beings until my surgery...38 days...17 hours (give or take a couple)... I wish I had found this sight prior to selecting a surgeon, but can anyone comment or provide feedback on Dr/Mr Michell? I have seen all the comments on bad breathe - any suggestions on dealing with this? Anyone had leaks that you can share experience on? I order a book from the US called "The Big Book on the Gastic Bypass: Everything you need to know, to lose weight and live well with eth RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery. Hope to have it next week and happy to share thoughts on it with all of you when it arrives.

I'm also the 28th. Nervous, anxious and excited. Have been so diligent on my pre-op diet. Not sleeping well but figure I can sleep while in hospital. Less than 1week and we will be on the other side

Molly, how much Benefiber are you using a day?

You can do it! If you think about you health during the op it's great motivation, this can also help you prepare your mind for post-op. I am almost a week into my pre-op. Only thing I struggle with is water but keeping busy also helps.

You're lucky. Only one week! I start this coming money 14th. Have pre-op on Tuesday. Becoming so real now.
