  1. Ive tried a couple pre op not to bad tasting...we have a health food/natural place they had a selection of single servings...I tried an egg based one and thought is was horrible...I know vitamin shoppe has some single serving packs of things other than whey protein... I didnt try to many only because the amount of protein was low compared whey

What Were Your Favorite Post Op Foods?

Doesn't you NUT have a plan for you or have you not got that far? You will find everyone on here has a different eatingI plan and time frame. First 2 weeks post I could only have protein shakes, yogurt and cream of chicken soup, along with clear liquids...sf swiss miss with a scoop of unflavored protein was my daily go to drink After 2 weeks I could only add egg, cottage cheese and ricotta....I made a baked ricotta every day..yum! At week 4 I could have moist meats, I dont have to puree any of my food just has to be really moist...I use my crock pot for chicken and turkey, can have any flaky fish and soy products, no beef I stay on this stage for 4 weeks Because I eat so little I make one thing and eat it for couple days

    Yes!

This is very common I think most of us went thru this...the last couple weeks before my pre op I ate hat I wanted but still tried to keep it in check..I gained 4 lbs lol but lost 12 on pre op So treat yourself in moderation and enjoy your holiday!

How Many Carbs In A Day?

I was told 50 to 80 complex (good) carbs a day and gradually increase after your first year to max of 130 depending your body's sweet spot, activity etc..

    Yummy Protein Drink

GNC total leans are good shakes and yummy I did 2 cases of the pumpkin on my pre op...they will let you sample some in store or if you buy it and dont like it they will take it back. I also like the strawberries and cream not real sweet like some strawberries tend to be.

Where Do I Find The Subscribed Threads

Thank you for answering but the only place I can find my profile name is under the "My Surgery" tab which takes me to the online site...I click on content I follow and it does take me to the online version of threads I subscribe to but I was looking for or wondering if there was a way to view in the app like before.

    Sugar Free Pudding Mixins

A couple websites that have a lot of info and great recipe ideas for every stage is Bariatric Foodie and World According to Egg Face...these are great sites by bypass patients. Can you have eggs? My first egg was like tasting heaven lol I also made a Ricotta Bake. I didnt have to pureed foods, I was given a list of foods and if not on that list I could not eat it...im 5 weeks out now and on what they call moist meat stage...I have chicken salad, crock pot chicken, veggie sausage with my egg, turkey thats all I have tried so far. I dont do soups much unless I add protein powder or chicken, I try to get as much protein in as possible. Good luck to you, it gets better soon you will be passed all these phases!
  20. First off CONGRATS to you! You will notice if you read thru the boards everyone has different programs and schedules, timelines....I had to do a 6 months program, did all my testing and had surgery date before they would even submit my insurance. So hard to say, all those things can be done in a day but getting appts could be a different story. However most approval letters have a deadline so they try to get things moving.....your on your way, Good luck!

    19 Days Post-Op!

I never had a problem getting shakes down and Im 5 weeks out I still dont, I do 2 or 3 a day now. However some days ya just get tired of them considering I have been on liquids for 7 weeks now but I know I need the protein! Good luck to you on your journey
