When Will I Be Able To Wear Something Around My Waist?
Truckerchic replied to JeanZ_RN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They gave me a binder which worked great under my pants for about 5 days than once swelling was down it was not comfy but still needed some thing so I got one of those Kimora body things, it feels wonderful almost like a little hug on my tummy..im almost 3 weeks out and although my pants are not real tight I slide the band down a bit once I sit....you would think compression is not the answer but it feels good and kinda evens out the pressure of the pants band if that makes sense -
Tomorrow Is My 2Nd Weigh-In
Truckerchic replied to Mid West's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats UK, great attitude also keep up the good work...thank you for posting in lbs and stones also -
Try also a smaller fork and spoon for awhile, I use cocktail ones cause the fork is pointed more than toddler ones. This is training me to take smaller bites in turn longer to eat. Also maybe set your alarm and have something to eat every 3 hours even if just a small snack so you dont get so hungry. Carry some nuts, jerky, protein bar or something in your purse or car for those times your out and about..good luck it does take time just keep working at it you will do it!

Truckerchic replied to Sleevie J's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep in mind also your tummy is still healing and a little numb, this is why its important not to eat more than your doctor and NUT recommend at this point...follow your plan and test your new sleeve later on down the road -

Truckerchic replied to LipstickLady's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow looking great and yes nice to put a face to the personality! -
I had surgery 10/30 I have had a hard time getting my water in only because no matter how I tried it, it hurt. My hubby went aye bought me almost every brand on the shelf and I discovered Smart Water does not hurt so I am now able to get 6 to 8 glasses in. If your drinking to fast try a toddler sippy cup. Also broth counts toward your water so maybe add a cup of that a day. As long as you dont feel dehydrated and getting some water in and your shakes you should be fine as you work on this

Can't Stand My Protein Drinks Anymore
Truckerchic replied to VSGNeophyte's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just order my second container from unjury since 10/30 lol you can add it to just about anything just watch the temp not to go over 140, if you look at unjury site they have a lot of recipes for this stage ...if you dont add it to a stronger flavor something you may taste it a bit...like I used sf cheesecake pudding and it was eh but than added it to pistachio and was much better -

Your tummy will be pumped full of gas to expand so they have room, as the gas starts to move out it tends to move up towards your shoulder....I am 2 weeks out had gas pains for about 3 days but it didnt move into my shoulder ..your doctor with give you something for gas or just suck on a lot of gas x strips lol

What Are Some Examples Of Sliders?
Truckerchic replied to tampa's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Basically picture your sleeve...at the bottom of your sleeve is a flap..when you eat nice proteins it triggers that flap to close in turn filling up your sleeve, that is why you are told protein first than veggie and carbs if any room, sliders, called such cause they just slide on thru and dont trigger that little flap....these foods if eaten should be done so in moderation -
