I was surprised by your post. I have never heard anyone say the band would ever have to come out. I went to a seminar and they did not mention anything like that. I would like to know what others have heard about this. I will say tho that i love this band and i am so..... glad i did this. Donna PS welcome to the site.

My son is there, working on an army base in Taji. He was in the army for eight years and now works as a contractor . He is a defense comm. expert and he supports the war fully. I just support him as i am very torn as to weather or not we should be there. I think it is very complex. Donna

Good luck! I got good restriction on my second fill and it lasted until i lost another 11 pounds. Then it kind of eased up. The doc said that is because my stomach is getting smaller so the band gets loose. I got my third fill a few days ago and i am really tight. Love this band! Donna

It sounds like you are having problems with head hunger not real hunger. Make a comittment to yourself and jump back on the bandwagon. lol Donna

It is really up to your doctor. Some will not do the surgery if you have not lost any weight. I had my surgery in Mexico and my doc did not make you do a pre-op diet. Some docs do not believe it helps anything. But yours does, so he may postpone. Have you lost any weight??Hope it works out ok. To ease your mind maybe you should call your doc, and tell them you are having a tough time. See what they say. Good luck Donna

Hi and welcome to the site! I did not feel anything when i got my fills, my doctors really good. I got restriction on the second fill , then lost it when i lost about 11 pounds. I just got another fill and have very good restriction. As you lose weight you may also lose restriction and need another fill to lose more. At least that is how it has been for me. It seems everyone is a little different in how the band works for them. Good luck Donna

You probably will not get to many replies because the people here tend to know mostly about the band. I love my band and i am not having problems with hunger. If your getting to hungry you just get another fill. Good luck, Donna

Please do not be too hard on yourself. It is hard till you get a fill or two. I have had three fills now ( got one yesterday) and i can hardly eat anything. Try to drink a lot of water and stay as busy as you can. It really will get better. Donna

Reading this thread makes me realize how very fortunate i am. I was a little down for a while after surgery but i think it was mostly because it is hard to let go of the addiction to food. I have no real problems in my life right now ( except my son works on an army base in Iraq) and i need to be grateful for all i have. My heart goes out to those who are having a hard time. Donna

Marieze, I had lower back pain all the time before my band. I was always bending over to try to ease it. I have not had this pain since i lost the first 20 pounds and the more i lose the better i feel. All over! I have much more energy now and really feel great. Best of luck, Donna

I am 54 and very lucky. I have really good skin. I use to hate that my skin is oily, now i am so glad. No stretch marks and no hanging skin. I am so glad i can not afford any more surgery. Donna
