So sad for you. My brother and i are very close and he has been so.....supportive of me. I do not know what i would do with out him. Our parents are dead so we are always there for each other. I am glad you have your mom. Donna

I would not try to hide it at that stage. It is very important that you stick to your docs diet plan at that time or you could mess up your band. If you do not tell them you might try to eat things you should not eat. You will still be healing at that point. Good luck and welcome to bandland! Donna -
I write down everything i eat. I pretty much know the calorie count on most foods. I drink no soft drinks and try not to eat junk food. Sometimes i mess up, but not very often. I exercise regulary. Donna

At three months i had lost about 35 pounds. I did not have to do a pre-op diet so it was all after banding. I am at 43 pounds lost now. It is slowing down but still coming off. I love this band. Donna

I could not take the fish oil at all, the taste and aftertaste made me sick. My doc put me on flax seed oil instead. Still they are hard to get down. I drink a hot cup of coffee before i take my meds. Helps open the band a little, I think. Donna

I have had three fills and i still eat about 1600 cal a day . I eat several small meals. I exercise regulary. I am losing so this works for me. Donna

I think we have all become so thin skinned and PC that people are afraid to say anything. The post did not advocate hate or violence against anyone. I was raised in the 50s when everything was fair game. I think it was an easier time. People were not so up-tight. I guess i just do not believe free speech should be restricted an any way. The way we are going pretty soon off color jokes will be against the law. Donna
