You look Amazing! You are such an inspiration! Congrats on your weight loss journey...Gorgeousness! -
Hi! We had ours done at Baylor Dallas. The staff there was great. I was sure to complete the patient survey and nominate several staff members for making my stay such a lovely one. Did Dr. Kuhn do your surgery as well? I know he has privileges to several hospitals in the Dallas area. Keep in touch

Hello! Congrats on your surgery date! I just know you are so excited! Please keep me posted on your WL journey. Dr. Joseph Kuhn did our surgeries both of us RNY at Baylor... Everything about the surgery and the short hospital stay went great! I went in first then my Husband our surgeries were in the morning around 7:00 & 7:45 Monday, we only stayed one night and was back Tuesday evening. No complications and the pain was very little --it just felt more like I had did sit ups and was just a little sore. Oh besides the trapped gas pain you will have after surgery due to them fill you up during surgery. But that will get better when you start walking around. Everything has gone well we both have lost around 100lbs next week will be our 7 month mark. My Husband started having pain on his side about 3 months after surgery but that was due to his gallbladder and he had to have that removed. I tell you this was the best gift that we could have given to each other. It is absolutely amazing! I am so glad we had this done and together made it even better! Please stay in touch. Oh and by the way Dr Provost did the revision on my Mom about 7 years ago and she looks amazing! Congrats again and it will be here before ya know it!

Thank you Ladies for inspiring me! I will be sure to get my Protein in... After reading your replies I realized a few days here and there not meeting my protein goals may be just the thing that has put me in this stall. I will definitely apply your advice and hopefully get back on track. I have lost about 85 pounds but I am only half way there actually not half yet because I want to lose another 100 pounds. Thank you again for your words of encouragement! We will succeeded!

At 6 month mark and have been at a stall for a month! Wait I lied shows I gained 2 pounds!? Hope this passes soon because I am only half way with the pounds I want to lose. Very frustrating, maybe the lack if my B12 shot being delayed a month because pharmacies around town could not get them due to back order.

Hi November 2013 surgery group! I am so excited I had this surgery I am still in awe of my WLJ! My surgery date was 11-11-13 and I am down 83lbs. My husband had the RNY 11-11-13 as well same day right after me and he has lost 85lbs. I truly believe it has made our journey easier doing this together. I am so grateful to you all please keep me posted on your WLJ!

Hit the 100+ pounds lost today

Wow! You look amazing! I had to go through your pics again because I did a double take! I'm smiling for you! Congrats! May I be as fortunate with my WL journey. It's your time to shine! Way to go! -
Hi Everyone! It is nice to touch base with you all. I had my surgery on 11-11-13❤ as well as my Hubby. I have list 64 and he has list 68. I hit a stall once again but finally see the scales move. My poor Hubby starting having some intense pain only to find out his gallbladder had to be removed. That surgery was on 2-11-14 three months to the day of our RNY, the used some of the previous incisions and of course new ones. That has been our only little set back but we are so amazed with our journey. I know for me that when I don't get all of my Proteins in my body starts to slow down no weight loss, I start feeling blah and I too am noticing my hair thinning! Yikes! Really the only thin things about me is my hair and nails! Lol! I have been taking Biotin 1000mcg but now after commercial 10,000mcg. It is so nice to hear from my November pals! Please keep us updated on your WL journey. Wishing you all much success!

Congrats on your WLS! Just be sure to stay hydrated, get required protein, walk and move around during this early phase. It was a full time job for me in the beginning getting my fluids and protein requirements in. They wanted me to drink an ounce of fluid every 15 minutes to meet my daily 60 grams of protein and 60 ounces of fluid daily. But each Doctor is different on the protein amounts. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Merry Christmas to all and thank you for your kind words of encouragement and sharing your WLS journey with all of us. I am so grateful for everyone here. May you all have a wonderful day with your loved ones!

Congrats UK-Molly on your WL! I am down 37 pounds and my Husband is down 43 since our surgery date ❤11-11-13❤...we are so excited and amazed how great things are going. Now of course it would be me that hit a stall but that finally passed. We have been busy with Christmas decorating and shopping so that has helped a little more with exercise! Lol!

hurting can't sleep
Janifer replied to Bobby Smith's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Bobby! I had my surgery 11-11-13 and so did my Husband...what helped for us was gas-x strips, because the pressure from gas pain is what made it so uncomfortable and not able to sleep. Plus plenty of pillows to prop up around you. I had to use milk of magnesium (Phillips brand) as well. Wishing you a speedy recovery and congrats on your WL surgery journey! -
Hope November 2013 Surgeries are doing well and getting better every day! I finally passed my stall!
