You guys are lucky!! I talked to my nut today and she said no snacking between meals. Only 3 two ounce meals a day for the first six months after surgery then I can go to 3 ounce meals for life. I'm supposed to drink lots of liquids and protein shakes between meals. It's crazy how different each plan is for the same surgery!!!

Started eating regular foods tues. It's nice but these two ounces meals aren't filling me up. So can we snack between meals or is it just 3 two ounce meals a day? I'm starving!!!!!! I keep hearing different things. I see my surgeon on Tuesday but wanted to see what you guys are doing?

I can hardly get my protein shakes down too!! Way too sweet!! But I bought some unflavored protein powder and add that to it so that helps calm down the sweetness a little plus adds protein! What kind of Isopure do you guys like? I've only tried one and it was grape and it was so gross!!!! But there's a lot of protein in those things so I wanna try more!! I just started eating regular foods today!! Exciting but ended up bawling cuz I'm so frustrated with trying to count the calories and protein in everything I'm eating. I don't understand how to do it!!! I get how to figure out how much is in an ounce of something but what if I don't eat an ounce??! I know I doesn't have to be exact but I have gone through all this and I don't want to screw it up by eating too many calories and not enough protein. Ugh maybe I'm over thinking it. And I'm still not getting full from these stupid two ounce meals!!!!! . And I haven't lost anymore weight in over two weeks. FRUSTRATED!!!

I'm still at a stall too. And I'm tired of being hungry. Drove by McDonalds a few minutes ago and I've been crying ever since.

Just freaks me out cuz I'm 3 weeks out so I thought I was about done with pain. I went ahead and called my surgeons office after hours and talked to a doc on call. She said I don't have a fever and I'm not nauseous or anything and I've been following the diet and doing everything right with no other problems. But if it gets so bad and I just feel like something is wrong to go to the ED so they can do scans and stuff. Otherwise I could wait til tmw and call my surgeons office to schedule an appt with them. My other issue is I'm going to the P!NK concert tmw in Chicago!!!! I paid a lot of money to go and I'm going dammit lol

Ok I have a new pain in my stomach that just brought me to tears and the pain meds aren't touching it. I'm about 3 weeks post op. It's a new pain that started yesterday. It's like a burning sensation and it comes and goes but this episode I just had lasted a lot longer. It hurt to take a breath or anything!!! Freaked out!! Let me know if anyone else has had this.

Anyone have ideas for not sweet protein shakes??? I bought some strawberry smoothie powder and mix it with skim milk so that's 38g of protein but it's too sweet!!! I can barely get it down!! I have tried adding Greek yogurt to it and cottage cheese but didn't help

I had a BM the night before surgery which was Tuesday and didn't have one til Sunday. Then it was kind if every other day. Then every couple days. Now I haven't had one since Sunday. I asked my nurse friend if I should take some milk of mag but she said as long as I'm not uncomfortable not to worry. I have never been constipated before so idk what it feels like. So I wonder when I should add the Benefiber??? Do I wait til I feel like crap??

Hello ladies!! I'm sorry I didn't let u all know how my surgery went. It was 10/16. I feel great and haven't had any problems at all (knock on wood). Now I'm dealing with the emotional part of it all. I started puréed diet on Monday! And that's great!! But these two ounce meals aren't filling me up. I'm so hungry. And I'm bummed and depressed about that because I thought that was supposed to fill me up?? It's all I can do not to open the fridge and eat more!! I haven't cheated and I'm not going to, but I don't understand why I am so hungry . I have heard so many people say they have to force themselves to eat. Not me!!! I was that way a few days after surgery but then I got this stupid appetite back . It's been really tough . But I am lucky I haven't had any problems, no vomiting, no dumping. Just so hungry!!! Ugh

Liquid diet day 1 almost over. 4 days to go. I feel so bad for anyone who had to do this for more than 5 days!!!

Same here girl!!! I have my pre-op appt with the nutritionist and the surgeon at 10:15 tmw. Good luck!! We r surgery buddies!!!

I love this forum but I'm starting to kinda freak out!!! Surgery in 10 days. I really hope I have the will power and strength to do this!!! Pretty scared :/
