    2 Questions

    Thank you all for your replies. Maybe I should clarify - I drink one protein drink (25g) a day. Add to that some combination of 4oz of beans + cheese, cottage cheese, egg + cheese, yogurt, bean soup. The potatoes are not a daily thing. Per nutrition labels they were 190 cal per 1oz. I had 2 oz...which led to my concerns. In addition, being able to eat 4oz at a time was also a bit worrisome because after reading everyone else's restrictions, I got worried.
  2. I am 2 weeks, 2 days post op. Today I was able to get 70g of protein but 1000 calories. The majority came from mashed potatoes from whole foods. Is that normal? It worries me I can already be eating that many calories. My doctors rule is 60g protein, less or equal than 1200 cal. That said, it just seems too soon! Also, I have always been hot natured but this week my feet are FREEZING as are my hands...is that normal? I appreciate y'alls insight. This community is quite impressive & I already appreciate all you've shared in your posts!
  3. First post...learned today my date is sept 24. Meeting hospital nutritionist & taking your tomorrow. Pre-op diet starts Thursday! Completely thrilled & terrified all at the same time!
