48 Hours until the big day! After a 6 month battle I am finally there. Wish me luck!

Good luck man!!!! -
I do not eat rice or Pasta. I try to stick with Protein based food sources. If you want to try rice, go for it. Just try a little bit at a time. It is strictly up to you.

I don't think there is a normal. It looks like you are doing great. Remember to hold the vision and trust the process. Best Wishes!!

No story, I change it as much as I can. In fact, I think I will change it again right now. I also like to change my signature. I have a bunch of quotes that I like to share.

Question about hunger?
enjoyinglife replied to Bingcherry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
About 8 months later. I have sometimes confused head hunger for real hunger. Also, sometimes I mistake hunger for dehydration. I still use a food scale to weigh out my portions. I stick to 1 or 2 ounces of whatever I am eating. I know I can now (12 months later) eat closer to 6 ounces of food at a time. I think it is very important to keep that in check. I even have a food scale at my mom's house and my grandma's house. -

Question for those on maintenance?
enjoyinglife replied to Bingcherry's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I will be one year post-op next Tuesday. I eat nuts, fruit, soups, yougurts, protien shakes. I am still afraid to try new foods. I tend to eat the same 15 things. I still weigh my food out on a scale. I did find out through experimentation that I can tolerate sugar, but cannot tolerate fatty foods. So my new challenge has begun. Good luck. -
I tried a bunch of it when I was on Stage 2. I can't say I enjoyed any of it.

Does anyone have a problem with beef?

I do not have a problem with it, I just haven't had much of a desire to start eating it again. -

stall? so early?
enjoyinglife replied to melimo1002's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stalls are not fun, I have had my share of them. Stay positive, stay focused. Read the posts on stalls. "Hold the vision and trust the process." Best Wishes!! -
Broccoli
enjoyinglife replied to susanholstein@att.net's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can eat it cooked or raw, but my pouch and digestive system do not like it when I do. -
You can do it, but it won't be easy. Build a big support group. You will need them in the future.
