Hello Don! The smell changes was the worst for me. I am now 4.5 months post op and it is much better. For the first month I had to switch to the pre made muscle milk. It was a lot thinner. Also I had to have a cup with a lid so I couldn't smell it. It does get better!

Thank you! Its crazy how mentally I didn't realize how much weight was gone until I did side by side picture. The one on the left was the day after surgery.

Changing how I consume my protein
kristireyna replied to Kindle's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
The chobani was making me nauseated. Then I found the yoplait 100 calorie ones. More protein and way less sugar. I eat one for breakfast and havent had any issues. -

PRE-pre-op diet advice?
kristireyna replied to Tootles1975's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband and I both had rny on march 25th of this year. It was great doing it together. It has made it so much easier.... even the pre-op was easier. We were both miserable together. Haha! Neither of us have had any complications. I pretty much eat what I use to but I was already eating really healthy. He is a sugar addict and an emotional eater. This has been way harder on him. I used the 6 months prior to prepare myself for the surgery and what I could eat. He used it as a "eat everything possible". So he has dumped a few times and figured out pretty quickly what he can not eat. I havent even tried anything that would make me dump. He still wants sweets... but its all mental. He has always coped with life with sweets. I havent craved any sweets. So it all depends on yourself and how menatlly prepared you are. -
You look great!

Thats Menudo. Posole is made with a pork roast that simmers all day. I cant even handle the smell of Menudo... my mom made it all the time when we were kids. I couldnt even bring myself to try anything made with intestines.
