I had my surgery July 8 2013 and am looking for support in the central Ohio area

Ok I am a little over 3 months post op. I have been doing very well and so far I am off almost all my meds.. My concern now is hair loss, I just started noticing it and of course I am losing it from the front where I can see it not from the back where it wouldn't bother me as much... My question is what can I do to slow it down or halt it all together

Thank u all for all the ideas and suggestions... It is nice to know you are not alone... I am using the biotin, changed my shampoo to one for thinning hair, I don't use appliances and have worn it short quite some time. I have increases my protein and have adjusted my part. I just thank the dear Lord I was blessed with a thick head if hair. And if I grow any more hair on my chin I will be the bearded lady

Three months out I am allowed to eat any kind of food as long as it doesn't disagree with me. Regular texture is what my surgeon and nutritionist say so fair warning... What used to work before surgery may not work now... I am finding ethnic foods are not agreeing with me and I am having to stick to more traditional middle America type foods... Good luck

Check with your pharmacist before crushing extended release or timed release meds. Crushing them effects how they release/work... Also ask the pharmacist for liquids that might be available

Am looking for good tasting protein bars that have less than 6 grams if sugar and less than 6 grams of fat and high in protein. Most that I have found are really high in sugars and they make me sick to my stomach... Let me know what you have found that you like. Post surgery weight 259. Current weight 212. Date of surgery 07/08/13.

Awesome... More great ideas and thank you. I have never been so particular about texture or sweet until after my surgery...seems my taste buds went through a definite transformation. I have been eating kashi products lately higher in fiber and protein than the average cereal, and the bars are pretty good too

I have not tried the unflavored. Does it change the taste of food? I know it has to b used in not hot food because it gets funky in too hot of food

Thank you all. Trying to get to that dreaded protein number but the protein shakes get old and they get too sweet. I will look for all the ones listec
