Any September surgeries out there

I don't mind walking if its outside or I can watch tv but I love swimming. Its relaxing, you don't get hot and sweaty, and its total body. I need to get a swim cap bc I have purple hair and the pool took all my color out, now I have white hair! -

I think most of us are having this stall thing. Maybe our body needs to catch up with the weight loss. I loathe jogging so power to you! -

Ya. I get 400-500 cals too and I lost 25 lbs since sept 16 my surgery date. But have lost nothing this last week! So freaking upsetting but hopefully my metabolism kicks back in. -

I haven't had it post-op but ya. Its good in my opinion but not to eat straight. Its something you put on crackers or a pita. Its basically spiced pureed chickpeas. -

How is everyone doing?? I am well but I feel slightly nauseous most of the time and I feel like I have to force myself to eat. Other than that I have no complaints. -

I think the sugar or nsaids bit is a little dumb as if you can swallow or eat then you can tell them not to give you those things. The nsg tube could be done unconsciously but I just told my fiance and my mom about it. -

Intubation is perfectly fine and in fact if intubation is needed its always to keep you alive so thats something you never say no too. It means no blind ngs which is a nasogastric tube they will put in to decompress your stomach but with our tiny tummys its something they can't just do blind. -

I had only like 2 days of back pain that started a week after my surgery. It went away but if I hick up or sneeze it hurts my back like crazy. I called the office during the two days of continuous back pain and their answer was gas pain from the co2. Simply as she put "I can't do anything for you, just tell you what it is." -

Oh man! That sucks. Bowel drugs take about half a day to work. But not if severely constipated. -

Broccoli is a gassy vegetable. I tried to eat cauliflower and luckily I ate one bite only bc it hurt and I kept burping thinking I was gonna puke. Thats funny you ate an egg, I tried to yesterday too. I ate 75% then stopped from fear of getting too full. I haven't puked yet but I am very careful. Even being careful I have had full pains a handful of times and it has me scared. Yesterday I ate 1/2 of one ravioli and it hurt. -

You know its so weird to hear about ppl not getting full. My doc must have really went small on me bc I literally eat like one bite and I am done. My heart goes out too those with the opposite problem but part of me wishes I could eat a tiny bit more. I am on soft foods and I am not sure how I am going to get enough protein in bc I don't know how many more protein drinks I can handle. I am tired of them so badly and it takes me forever to get it all down. -

It depends what your job is. If it includes labor then most likely the doctor will keep you on light duty with specific restrictions. My job didn't ask for this but I am a nurse and am not allowed to lift anything over ten pounds but it didn't effect me to much as I do more admin stuff and have assistants for the labor bit.
