**UPDATE**
Well after going through the entire process, getting approved, and scheduling my surgery I found out I was pregnant! Obviously I had to postpone the surgery. Half way through the pregnancy I was placed on bed rest. Unfortunately, I was still in my year long probationary period at work so they released me. Because of that I lost my insurance and went on medi-cal. I now have Central California Alliance for Health through medi-cal. I have my appointment for my referral in December. Hopefully, since I've already been through everything I can speed things up because I somewhat know what to expect.
My husband and I would like to have more children and hope my losing weight will help. Also, I would like to be healthy enough to be able to play with my son without pain and discomfort.

I suffered from severe migraines and the doctors could not figure out the cause. One day a woman at work mentioned that she has Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and before her hormones were regulated she would get monthly migraines. Long story short after running numerous tests it turns out I have PCOS and it would be very difficult for me to get pregnant. It has also caused my weight to continuously increase, which in turn makes my hormones even more out of whack. My doctor suggested I look into weight loss surgery because the only natural way to balance everything out would be to drastically drop weight. My father and sister both had the gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Waldrep and have seen great success. I have completed all of my pre-op requirements and am now waiting to hear back from my insurance.
