I buy mine from Target. I really like it. Its called Blender Bottle they keep them next to the Protein drinks. Its easy to clean because the ball comes out. Every so often I catch one on clearance for $9 but regular price is around $12.

Overeating since im gonna have surgery
mskami77 replied to Smilejoelle1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's ok girl! Back on the bandwagon. You can do it. I did the same thing a not too ago. My husband and kids talked me into Golden Corral by saying well you can just have meat and the salad bar. Not good! I think I'll get more support from my husband after we see the surgeon on Wednesday but in the mean time we all have each other on this site. :-) -
I've been thinking alot about the things I want to do with my kids after I have my surgery. I want to ski, hike, teach my girls ballet and softball, and play basketball with my boys. What are some of your favorite things to do with your kids that you couldn't do before surgery?

Yes we can! My first appointment with the surgeon is on Wednesday. He is very strict about weight gain after your first appointment so I will find my will power. I need this surgery. -

I haven't seen anyone on here from Alaska. I would love to meet someone close by to chat with. Maybe we can exercise and encourage each other.

I've already started mourning food. We went to Golden Corral tonight. I'm not a big fan of their food but I ate soo much of everything I came home feelings disgusting. I most definitely have to get it together. I just don't know why I seem to have lost all self control. I don't like chocolate but I've been.eating it every time someone.offers it to me. Soo crazy! -

I lucked out because both of the assisting surgeons are gynecologist. So I won't have to do any other referrals I just have to get approval for the procedure and its 100% covered. I have to pay around 5000 for the bypass though as long everything goes well.

I want to be there for my grandkids also. Unfortunately, cancer and diabetes took our mothers away from us so our kids have not had the joy of having a grandmother's love. I'm looking forward to it even though it's a long ways away. :-)

Cut or Not to Cut My Hair is the Question!
mskami77 replied to LeticiaHuggins's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Yes. I started covering about a year ago. We're Christian and I'm the only woman in our church to cover but I feel like the Holy Spirit made me do it. lol. A series of events happened and then me and my husband decided I had to stop fighting it and just do it! I'm not one of those people that think all women should cover but its what I have to do. :-) -
Went to my orientation today and the doc says my recovery time will be the same. Soo I'm definitely getting fixed! Especially after he told us to use 2 types of birth control because you are really fertile after surgery.

Cut or Not to Cut My Hair is the Question!

Thanks for posting the article. I've been worried sick about losing hair after surgery. I did a big chop 3 years ago and now my hair is shoulder length. I wear a head covering but my husband likes long hair so I'd hate to lose it. Have you taken biotin or supplements to help with growth? -

I'm so excited to go to my orientation seminar tomorrow. I'm fasting tonight cause they're drawing labs in the morning. Then the seminar and 2 support group meetings. I have an appointment with my PCP and the dietician next week for my second month of "weight management". August 22nd I'll meet with the surgeon. I'm so ready but I'm struggling with my diet and exercise. I think I'm eating everything I won't be able to eat again. I know I need to stop eating junk and work on losing weight. I've done it many times before but it never last more than 3-4 months then the weight comes back plus some. Here's to permanent change! :-)

I'm going to do it. Me and my husband gave gone back and forth about who would get snipped. Thanks for all the feedback. Definitely helped solve that problem. :-)

I've never been to Fairbanks but I hear.it's freezing in the winter but nice in the summer. I'm originally from a small town in Southern Cali called Fontana but we've been here almost 5 years. It's a great place to raise kids.
