Thanks Julee, I'm moving forward! Maybe yesterday was one of those hormone low days related to the estrogen fat release. Today is the next new step!

Thanks for the encouragement, RJ, starting the morning "fresh" shaking it off and moving forward!

Well today was my 3 month follow-up. I'm not doing as well as many/most of you. I am down 46lbs by their scale (48.4 by mine but who's counting?) so I missed the 50 - 60 lb goal so I'm bummed and beating myself up today. I can give a slew of excuses and I know I need to get to exercising more, and drink more fluids. Dr was not discouraged tried to tell me I've lost 42% of my anticipated loss but I'm still wallowing in self-pity. I feel good, my blood pressure is down, I've thrown out my first pair of fat pants so it's stupid I am crying about 4 lbs but I'm so upset about it. New goal is 30 -40 lbs in the next 90 days. Thanks for the long whiny post.

way to go Michelle! My 3 mo follow-up is Thursday (expecting only down 48 but I feel good so I'll take it!)

Chile lime grilled shrimp (4) Caesar salad. -
Me too friends! I know intellectually that the weight will come off but . . . Seems like I've been at the 38 lb loss mark forever. I can't fail at this, can I? (Yes I'm exercising and getting in at least 50g protein daily).

So I thought I was being so smart, thought being the key word here. On my way in to work I thought I'd stop by Taco Bueno (south central Mexican fast food chain) & pick up a breakfast burrito to munch on as snack and lunch. Well it tasted great, settled fine without hurting, then I plugged it in to MyFitnessPal - um, 440calories! Yikes! Situations like that help me see why I became even heavier through the years. -
How about some NSVs!?!?

Help! 3 days out post gastric bypass

Well, speaking only for me, the doctor warned me that my emotions would plummet to a pity party because of pain, adjustment, jealousy, pain meds leaving the body, and fat loss hormone release. For me, I have to remember that I made the educated choice to have this procedure (& sometimes still when I am puking I hit the doldrums big). Remember it is all a journey and this is simply a temporary state. You will feel better physically and mentally down the road. Not everything happens in the here and now. Give yourself a break and allow yourself to feel but do your best not to alienate those closest to you who simply don't know what to do to make it better. You can, will, and now must do this. The group is here to walk you through our experiences. Just my story for what it's worth. -
Tried something new this morning to boost the protein intake a little, in my morning Greek yogurt I added 1/3 scoop of unflavored Unjury protein powder. I let it sit a few minutes so the crystals smooth down but couldn't even tell it was there and I added 8g of protein.

I've vomited many times since surgery June 12th. I'm tracking the foods but I don't have a defined "trigger" yet, still learning. So far I seem to have 3 1/2 perfect days then bluuaaaaaccckkk. I'm letting myself be patient as I learn the new path. Down 33.3 lbs. -
Don't let that discourage you for very long! - This is the time we have to let our rational brains overcome our heartfelt disappointment. Sizes run the spectrum among designers and stores - heck, an 18 by Liz Claiborne runs different than an 18 at Talbots that runs different than an 18 @ Target. Also the inches probably won't come off in equal proportions. It's a journey, allow yourself to celebrate you!
