Janifer, my 2 cents, if there's not a Nov13 group started - start one! This forum of people going through my similar journey at the exact same time was/is SO beneficial to me! Even though we're only 4 months ahead of you it may make a difference for you. But I've learned we Junies would love to share our experiences with you! You'll do great & we'll love you through your weak days.

Graceann & favor, it's hard to hear the cliches! I definitely agree. We are so accustomed to beating ourselves up we've forgotten how to celebrate. You guys "got this!" Jealousy of others is normal, guess what? Someone you know is jealous of you, maybe they just don't voice it. It's too late to turn back, so just work your program and your body your way. (Oh, and if you are exercising the same every day or so, change it up for effectiveness. So, say in walking, if you take one direction today, go the opposite tomorrow. You may want to walk for 20 minutes the take a quick 30 second jog, then walk, then pretend to high step for 30 seconds. The neighbors will think you're crazy but your body doesn't get to set to a new normal)

Today has NOT been a good pouch day. Admittedly I got hungry around 10:30am and didn't have a snack, got caught up with work so I grabbed a few Cheez-its which are usually ok for me. Then about 12:30 when I was really hungry, let the watery mouth and dry heaves begin! Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder if I just got too much digestive juices built up or what. Cuz it seems it wasn't what I ate but what I didn't eat. . . Journey.

I've done it, felt crappy and accomplished for not dumping/gaining at the same time. . . If we always deny ourselves everything, bingeing is easier, and then are we really living? I'm thrilled you went for the thin crust veggie pizza and only had two! So congrats on those choices. Have only liquids if that's what you think is right for you. Or, walk an extra 2 blocks today, eat some raw green leafy food, and drink more water to flush it out (& don't repeat today!). It's a new adventure but we are still alive and social creatures!

I really wonder what, physiologically, could be happening that several are hungry and feeling big frustration. I keep wondering if it isn't because of the estrogen-fat release depression the doctor told me about. I mean we're burning pounds and fat, hearing good comments but not yet seeing a supermodel in the mirror, feeling better but not yet marathon ready, losing our hair (me), puking occasionally when we eat a bite too much (anyone else occasionally worried we're a shade too close to bulimia), happy weight is coming off while criticizing ourselves for the ugly jiggly fat folds, and we're just so accustomed to failing that we keep waiting for the next shoe to drop and ruin it all. I think therapy, support groups, and time can help but people nature is to want everything perfect now and we've learned to be impatient far longer than we've learned to be patient. As hard as it is, seems to me at this point we just have to give ourselves permission to "be", "settle", and "just accept" where we are in this moment in this vessel. We can and will DO this together!

Gave in to temptation and had 2 reeses cup minis. It is yucky to feel the rumbling in my gut, but kind of exciting at the same time that I guess the surgery is working on behavior modification too.
