September 5th for me. I'm constantly thinking 'omg, I only have a week left to eat!'. I know eventually I'll be able to eat most foods in small quantities, but I'm a sugar addict and I know that because of the risk of dumping, I probably don't have many funnel cakes and cheesecake in my future lol

It's kind of scary that different drs say different things about this.

So it is still absorbed when you do go back on it?

I had a few of these moments. The biggest moment was when I realized I was keeping my kids at home all the time just because I didn't want to go anywhere. They shouldn't be trapped at home just because I don't have any energy and don't want to be seen in public. Another moment was when I realized I was having more trouble breathing when laying down than when I was pregnant! Come on September 5th!

That's my surgery date too! Are you nervous about the actual surgery? I am a little, but I'm more excited about starting my new life

I got insurance approval and my surgery date today! September 5th! Yay!

I called my insurance company before making my first appointment with the surgeon. They said my insurance covered bariatric surgery for people with a BMI over 40(which I have). As the time nears to submit the paperwork to insurance, I'm getting very nervous. My question is has anyone been told by their insurance company that they covered the surgery and then been denied?

I've been wearing the same two pairs of xxl stretch pants for like 8 months now and I finally decided to suck it up and go jean shopping. I ended up having a damn breakdown in the dressing room because I've managed to go from size 20 to size 24 in less than a year! Agghh!!! I feel awful. I knew I had put on 20 lbs, but didn't realize I had also added so many inches. I know, It's common sense, but I just didn't want to face the fact that everyone else could tell too All of my pre-op requirements will be done August 8th, so I'm praying for insurance to approve me quickly so I can get a date in September.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had their lab results interfere with surgery? I had all of my pre-op labs drawn, ekg, and chest xray on Saturday. I just got a message from my doctor's office saying they needed to talk to me. It's too late to call them back today and I'm assuming they want to talk about my results. So now I'm freaking out that something is wrong and I won't be able to have it done.

I also tried muscle milk....absolutely awful!!!

Oh, and I've heard a lot about unjury too! I think I'm going to buy the sample pack.

I actually liked the Atkins protein drinks. And I really love ensure clear, but at 10 grams of protein/bottle, I'm not sure if it will be the best choice immediately after surgery.
