I'm sorry to hear that. I'm 7 years out with very few issues. I hope you'll find some answers. -
You are having what is known as the two week freak. It's normal and it's a sense of panic. Don't let it get you off track of this amazing life changing transformation planned for you.

Horror stories....
DiminishingDawn replied to hrhdiana's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Common complications? I run a support group. The most common complications that I see are: - Vitamin deficiencies esp Iron -dumping and reactor hypoglycemia. -gallbladder issues and removal needed -ulcers (NSAID use or smoking) -strictures -hernias There's been a handful with -twisted bowels (obstructions), Intussusception -pneumonia -leaks -blood clots. And quite a few: substantial or total regain. This is a support group that has hundred of members. Regardless, I don't know one person who after the first 6 months, regrets surgery. Dawn -
Overeating since im gonna have surgery
DiminishingDawn replied to Smilejoelle1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I practiced all the skills I needed for post surgery before I had my surgery including; -building up a walking program -restricting portion size and intake of crap (saying no!) -sipping, drinking Water etc If you don't develop these skills, it can be a hard thing. While "willpower" may not be needed initially after having surgery, it will eventually come down to good habits and willpower for long ten success. Many people who don't make changes fail at this. Hi there! Since I'm new to this site I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Dawn and I am from Ontario, Canada. I am 7 years post op Rny. I am a teacher and weight loss surgery support group leader. My first year past surgery can be found at diminishingdawn.com If I can answer any questions or help anyone feel free to drop me a line. This surgery will be the best thing you will do for you. That said, after a few years it gets to be much harder. The good habits you put in place in your first year or two will make or break your success! Work your surgery hard! Take care! Dawn

It sounds like you are having bouts of Orthostatic hypotension. It's actually very common. Go slllllooowww and allow your body time to adjust to blood pressure changes when you move. It should diminish over time
