Does anyone know if Kaiser will cover plastic surgery after Bariatric surgery?

Anyone out there from the Sacramento area going through Kaiser? As soon as I get my EKG and bloodwork I'll get my surgery date!!

I've been eating fruit for about a week now and I'm 3 weeks post op. I mix berries with ricotta cheese for the Protein.

Oh I'm having a reaalllyyy bad episode right now....I'm miserable : (

Stick to your diet!! It's really tough at times, but worth it.

Ok so days of yellow poop isn't something to panic about??? Is that correct? Cause it's kinda freaking me out!! Lol

Hi...I'm 10 days post op RNY. My one week appt was yesterday. I would have mentioned this to my surgeon, but it didn't start until last night. I'm having excruciating pain near two of my lap sites. Kind of a burning, twisting, spasm. It's not constant, but when I move and use my stomach muscles it's terrible. I thought it was possibly a deficiency, like maybe not getting enough hydration or vitamins. My husband says it sounds like a hernia. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thank you!!! ~Diana

Anyone know about green salad?? I have kaiser and in my binder (nutrition chapter) it says NO salad. I'm wondering why..

I had a terrible time tonight with dumping....my body reacts (sweating, shaking, dizzy, etc) but it holds onto the food. I just have to lay there in misery until it passes : (

Lol I know how you feel!!! I'm 10 days post op too and I just want to "try" everything lol... I told my doc....he said nooooooo!!! Follow the plan!!! If something gets stuck it's really bad! It's so hard though to eat the same liquids and mush : ( Hang in there.... ~Diana

I had mine the same day. I'm recovering slower than I'd hoped. I'm in a lot of pain still...

After months of appointments, classes and struggling to lose the required weight, it's finally here. I go in at 1:00 tomorrow and have surgery at 3:00pm. I'm anxious, excited, and hopeful. I hope my hospital stay is minimal. I hope my recovery is uneventful and quick!! I hope I don't suffer from the dreaded "gas pain" in my chest and shoulders. I'm excited to begin a healthy chapter in my life and enjoy physical activities like I did as a teenager : ) Tomorrow everything changes....hopefully for the better : )

Home now. Still hurting. Very hard to get water down and tough to get up and down. I'm trying to stay positive and walk but it's so uncomfortable to do anything : (

I'm 3 days post op. in a good amount of pain. My back and neck are stiff from the hospital bed. The only thing that I can eat without pain is sugar free Popsicles. Good thing I like them : ) Can't wait to be able to get outta bed and walk around without pain...any advice? Words of encouragement ??

I'm now post op!! In the hospital and in some pain. Although it hurts a lot, I expected worse. Staff is great, I'm progressing with my walking and should go home tomorrow. I'll keep u posted!! Diana

Thanks everyone : ) So far I'm not nervous, I just feel like I'm going on vacation and trying to get everything in place before I leave. Lol for example...I just washed towels and mopped the floor!!! Haha!!! Now I have to pack my bag and shower with the betadine soap! Leaving at noon!!
