Hi everyone! Just sitting here caching up on everyone's posts and watching 20/20, really scary shit about people hiding behind their computers. One woman who drove a 13 year old to suicide, people who make those horrible You Tube videos at others' costs., etc. etc. I'm dealing with hunger as well. And I have even had some thoughts like what if I lose all this weight, give away all the old clothes, etc. etc., and then can't keep it off....

Janet, Congrats on onederland! Distant, Nice pics! I've been out of town for three days on business, did not eat smartly, but didn't get sick until today at lunch and ended up with sunflower seeds (they were on the salad) up my nose....yuck! Then again tonight my chicken didn't go down. Took forever to get it out and then I just drank a cold slimfast shake.....before that things had been working well. Don't think I did any damage and should be still at 159 when I weigh in the a.m. Would sure love to be 155 by year-end if possible. Night everyone!

Ruby, Congratulations! I didn't know that anything past a DDD existed. I'm like someone else who weighed in on it, I just always wanted a lift. I used to be a 40D, but 38C fits real well now. After I lose all of the weight and get a lift, I'll probably be a 36B again which would be great. My ultimate pleasure would be to wear strappy tops with no bra at all! Kathy, I get cold too easily as well! I wondered if it had something to do with the weight loss, because it just seems more intense now. And now for my news...I just keep losing, two pounds during T'giving weekend and it kept on and now I'm down 50 lbs and into the 150's...159.5 to be exact! Not bad, huh?!!!

I've got a sinus infection and went to my internist today and according to their scale and the last time they weighed me (at the start of my pre-op diet), I've lost 51 pounds. Per my scale, it is 48.5 pounds. Down to 161 and should be in the 150's soon. It will be curious to see what the surgeon's scale shows. 3rd fill appt was scheduled for today, but moved to next Friday because he went out of town. And tonight I had a message that he was oversees and had a medical emergency (?) and wouldn't be home until late that night, so I need to reschedule again, so it will probably be the following week. I'm fine with it. Don't know that I need a fill anyway and that gives me more time to make 50 pounds if I can! Can't wait! I get complements from strangers, people who I know by face at work, but don't know their name. They probably know mine, because I'm in upper managment, though. But anyway, I love it and I love wearing the smaller sized clothes!

Marcy, You took your slimfast shakes along on the cruise....I'm impressed! I thought about it, but decided that I was going on vacation and I would just try to eat sensibly. And I did go to the fitness center five times on the cruise to work out and we walked alot on the decks or the islands we visited. I did kind of miss my shakes though. Great that you didn't gain any weight. I gained two, but lost them in two days, so not complaining in the least.

Hi everyone! I had a nice T'giving out of town, visiting family. Ate too much, but somehow managed to lose 2 more pounds. Don't know how. Very surprising. Came back with a cold though and feeling pretty bad. Was supposed to go to Dr again tomorrow, but he's out of town, so my appt got moved to next Thursday instead. Glad everyone is doing so well! Marcy, I know what you mean about the cruise. I ate steak almost every night though....no problem. Just chewed thoroughly. I got into more trouble with breakfast in the mornings, than the dinners. Great time though.

Phyl, with the cruise and all, i didn't meet my goal. But I did lose 2.5 pounds. Will shoot for ten more by Christmas! Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving holiday!

Cate: Nutritiondata.com is good too. And dietfacts.com.

Nichole, Congrats on your weight loss since your last fill! Kathy, Sorry to hear about your Dad's diagnosis, but glad you got a little better news afterwards. My Mom died of cancer in 2004 and I was able to move home and take care of her for the last two months of her life. It was the saddest time of my life, but also life changing for me. Karri, Congrats on reaching onederland! Sounds like everyone has been doing well with their diet and exercise, more power to you all! I'm going to keep up with the exercise and start monitoring my portion control again. Should be back down by end of the week. Take care everyone!

Hi Everyone! I'm back from my cruise and surprise, surprise, after ten days, I only gained two pounds....can't believe it! I ate a lot and although got tight a few times, I only Pb'd once! I ate ice cream, french fries, bread, steak, breakfast meats, etc., but I did a lot of walking on the ship and on the islands and went to the fitness center and rode the exercise bike on five of the ten days, which I thought was very good of me! So, I regained my two pounds, so I won't be meeting the T'giving challenge, but I'll lose ten by Christmas! Next fill appt is the Thurs after T'giving! Not sure whether to get one, however....I'll see how I feel on that day!
-
CeCe, congratulations on reaching the 100's! I'm sure you are feeling great! keep up the good work!

Hi everyone! No, I haven't sailed away yet. Cruise on next Tuesday for ten days, so I'll be absent for quite awhile. Phyl, Please put me down for 2 lbs lost so far. I lost it a few days ago and have been sitting dead in the water since. Not sure I'll make the goal by T'giving with the long cruise. Not sure how the eating will be. About decided, however, that I'm going to really take a vacation and not try to write down my food intake or exercise while I'm on the trip. Just weigh when I get home and let the scale tell the tale so to speak. Hope everyone is doing well!

Jackie, Congratulations on the new jeans! Good feeling! Chim, Sorry you've been sick again!

Carribean including St Kitts, St Thomas, Barbados (my fav!), Antigua, private island, one more island and then three days at sea. Can't wait, I love to cruise!
-
I've been taking the Vitaband chewable multivitamins and melt away calcium supplements from BariatricAdvantage.com recommended by my Dr. May just resut in expensive urine, but thought it would be good until I get to goal at least. Losing quite a bit of hair in shower and brush, but not sure if it is more than usual. I've got lots of hair, so not worried. I'll take the 10 pounds goal by T'giving, that would be 156! And I think that might be doable, although the 10-day cruise might slow me down a bit..... Goodnight!

Nichole, You look great and that is a fabulous sunset! Good words of encouragement too!

Indio, And after a fill, my Dr just suggests liquid for the day. I'm on full solids and have been since my first fill (actually, maybe a little before). I was having trouble and then doing well the last week or so and then pb'd tonight on a porkchop. I've eaten them successfully, but pb'd at least twice on them...so maybe it's something I should avoid for awhile.
-
No real secret! I was banded 7/16 and have only had two fills. Mainly, I try to eat around 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day and exercise very regularly. I'm eating more carbs now, but still try to eat the required amount of protein. And although it's not a race, in this one, we're all winners I think!
-
I lost another pound today! 43.5 gone. I'm thrilled!
-
Indio Girl, I usually buy stuff I don't like. NEVER butterfingers or reese's cups or heath bars. I'm not a big chocolate fan, but like toffee, peanut butter, etc. So, I got a bag of laffy taffy, and stuff like that, that I'm not really into....
-
He's a real cutie!!!
-
Phyl, Well I can sure see the difference. You've come a long way and need to start smiling! )
-
Where are you going on your cruise? I'm going on a 10-day Carribean cruise myself in about two weeks.

Indio Girl, Looking great, girl!
