I had my first try of a veggie burger and it wasnt terrible but I wouldn't eat one again , I think I'll stick to the real thing once I can handle it

I'm months out and I still have those days and its more so at that time of the month but I am down 4 sizes and that gets me happy again ???? it will be ok for all of us, it's not forever

I started at 282 on surgery date 3/8/13 and I'm at 207 07/01/13

Tried some homemade sauce and 90% ground beef

Hw 292 Sw 282 3/8/13 Cw 212 Gw 168 I'm 5'9 so I would be fine being in the 180's

Hi I work for insurance and the diagnosis for obesity is considered pre existing...usually depending on the employer , it may get waived if you have 12 or more months of creditable previous coverage from another ins company

I was out of work for 4 weeks which have me enough time to get to a soft food stage and had my job give me unscheduled breaks since you never know when u can eat cause it doesn't work the way it use to

I was in the hospital 2 days ... The only pain I had was in my left side where they place the port for it to drain, it was a pain to get out of the bed to go to the bathroom and only had 1 nurse that was wonderful;) I was in on a Friday and out on Sunday ...they started me on liquid on Sunday and I was on that for 2 weeks and then puréed ... Alot of people regret it at first and go through depression cause it is such a change but this app that we are on is full of alot of support and there are alot of the same question and concerns we all have ... I prefer this over the support group at the hospital ... I would recommend that you ask your dr about ordering Celebrex for the pain cause it worked wonderful ....

My hair loss started 8 weeks post op and still continuing , literally shedding all the time

It's the worst and have your dr order you celebrex , it was a lifesaver with the pain...because they did so much work in that one area is why you have so much pain, I had 4 c sections and never felt that amount of pain, feel better

Absolutely it does get better and you will mourn food and I'm just finally eating something other than puréed foods and I'm 15 weeks out post op

No pre op diet, only told to eat light the day before surgery

Tried some baked ham steak and wax beans , had a hard time with the ham but it went down after chewing forever

I'm going to try a burger with onion soup mix in it and some broccoli ....I don't mind the not having a bun, just hoping I can handle it

I had my surgery on march 8 2013 and lost 68 lbs. I have had trouble with the protein. I've used unjury unflavored and added to orange juice , peanut butter on pop cakes from wegmans , and for dinner blended chicken fried rice... So far only bananas and crystal light....haven't tried much. I think the protein is the hardest to get in when I'm still trying to eat food ....ordered some protein bars from qwest , heard they are good compared to the others out there.

I was there with you and all I can say is it does get better;(. I have to keep reminding myself why I have done this to myself but in the end I'm better off....it's ok to mourn food...
