mom24kiddos posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it seems like everytime I try and eat everything get stuck and either comes back up or is so uncomfortable so right now im living on carnation instant breakfast sugar free...I feel like im starving....I have 4 kids and I feel like maybe im too anxious when im trying to eat and serve them..i don't knw I keep coming up with a ton of reasons or maybe im to early to be eating regular foods...example of foods below im trying to eat.. tonight I made taco soup and I just tried eating the beans from it, and they got stuck, dinner last night was burritos I was going to eat refried beans, but was stuck on something from earlier in the day,, scrambled eggs this morning got stuck, kashi go lean cereal was working last week, but gave me trouble this weekend, I tried making cauliflower crust pizza with just cheese as the topping and got stuck with that right away.... I don't want to live on protein shakes and yogurt and tuna salad can someone give me some other info that might help me be successful and not feel like failure who is starving themselves....thanks so much!! -

Stinging, Pulling feeling on inside Post-op ?
mom24kiddos posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on Friday August 9th ( 1 wk ago) I have six incisions and staples keeping my incisions closed, which don't hurt or bother me at all. However I have a stinging, pulling feeling about 4 inches below my large incision on my left side, but it is on the inside of me that hurts, and there is no incisions where this pain is. It stings when I stand up from a sitting position, cough, sneeze. It doesn't feel like a pulled muscle, its more like a burning stinging pulling feeling...anyone experience this before?? -
On full liquids
mom24kiddos replied to attractpositive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on full liquids as well, I had surgery on Friday the 9th, This morning for breakfast I made a very yummy protein shake.. 2oz skim milk, 1/2 banana, 1/2 scoop unjury vanilla protein powder, 1TBSP peanut butter, 4-5 ice cubes, blended it all in a blender and it was sooo goo, only able to drink about 4oz of it at one time.. For dinner I got some minestrone soup from a italing restraint, took out the noodles, blended the soup, added 1/2 scoop unflavored protein powder and had a delicious dinner.... -
Peanut butter
mom24kiddos replied to Crystalynn Alhashim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
do you know if it is ok to add 1 tsp-1tbsp of regular peanut butter to a protein shake if you are still in the full liquid stage?? I had surgery on Friday and just looking for some different ways to get my protein in, and to jazz up these shakes a little -
I had my RNY on Friday afternoon and been on clear liquids since, my stomach hasn't quit make noises since. Did anyone else have this post-op and how long did it last ?? it sounds like loud growling, stuff digesting just really loud

crying......im so worried about being aprooved.....
mom24kiddos posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow I go into my last apt with my Surgeon to pick a date for surgery before she asks for approval from my insurance company... I have BCBS and have been on their "turning point" program for 6 months and have completed all the requirement's and my surgeon's as well... The only thing I was unsuccessful at was losing 5% of my starting weight. Do you think my insurance will use this as a reason for DENIAL ?? Im so worried, I have done everything else besides that one part, I want this so bad and want to be approved, Im really worried, crying and getting depressed over this....has anyone else been in this situation and if so what was the outcome ?? -
