When did highland set up your ore-op appointment? I'm two weeks away tomorrow...

WOW I just found this group today and it has taken me ALL afternoon to get through all 44 pages!

I haven't been given a pre-op diet to follow. I'm impatiently waiting for the hospital to call me for my pre-op appointment. gah!!!! I have shared with quite a few people at work. We are a very small school and faculty is all pretty friendly and close. I've had a few friends say are you sure???? and when I say yes, they ask what they can do to help.

Me too! New to this forum. So ready to start anew! I'm also a school teacher so hopefully this will give me enough time to figure out food for lunch next year...

Thanks for all the feed back I will be asking for a private room. How soon before surgery did you get your per op appointment? I come home every day to check voice mail lol My little boy turns 5 on Thursday so I will be enjoying that on last splurge of birthday cake this weekend. I have to say for the most part I've been doing pretty good about paying more attention to feeling full and haven't really craved sweet stuff. Hopefully this new mindset leads to a new me!

I'm in the Dansville area as well. I have my surgery with Dr. O'Malley on the 26th. What are the rooms like at Highland? private? semi-private? Glad to hear that everyone has had wonderful care while there!
